As I started painting, my mind wandered. My brush moved instinctively, creating bold, chaotic strokes of reds and blues. The colors blended into an abstract mess, mirroring the turmoil inside me.
I glanced at Arabella. She had started painting too, her strokes gentle and precise. A delicate flower was forming on her canvas, each petal painted with care. She was completely absorbed, her brow furrowed in concentration.
She's so focused, I thought, a small smile tugging at my lips. I reached over to grab a new brush, and in doing so, my elbow nudged her arm. Her brush slipped on my shirt, leaving a bright straight blue line on my shirt.
