Anya Santini de Luna POV After the first glimpse I get of Marc Vincent, I’m horrified out of my mind and can’t bring myself to look at him again. Spending weeks in a dark room with Xander, I’m not mentally prepared for this level of violence. Unable to tear his eyes away from his brother, I want to reach out to Xander to comfort him. But I don’t dare, knowing it will shine a spotlight on us. My eyes flit to Ponti, and seeing the twisted enjoyment he’s getting from Xander’s reaction, my stomach churns with bile.

Chapter 2 Elle’s POV The house was way too quiet after the chaos of the day. My pulse still hadn’t settled from what I had walked into this afternoon. I should’ve been disgusted. But I wasn’t. I was soaked. Hours later I still couldn’t shake it. I couldn’t stop picturing the thick length of his dick swinging between his thighs as he was being railed by Jonathan. She instinctively clung to his neck, panicking, “What are you doing? Didn’t we just…?!” “That was then. This is now.” “Xavier! Put me down! Have you lost your mind?!” He took long strides toward the bedroom, ignoring her protests. “Haven’t I already lost it? My insanity is called Serena! I’ve been sick for twenty years!”

There are no beautiful, golden irises here. The eyes that have opened to look up resemble the black abyss that surrounds us. I snapped at Xander irritated. He ignored me and his eyes glanced at the floor to catch the sight of the book the floor. "Bambi and the devil. That's interesting so you are into dark romance." Xander read out the book title as he pinned me against the shelves. "I am not into dark romance. Why are you here and not with your precious lover?" I hissed at him not liking how close we were. His eyes had a fleeting emotion I could not read that quickly disappeared.
