How I knew this was because I finally got my eyes open this time and was looking into those hazel eyes I remember seeing before the car. Though as I looked at them, I realized they were more beautiful and unique. They had a light tint with a more blue and amber mixture, plus the outer ring was green. A bright green, which gave them a very bright gleam, almost all of them were glowing. I just laid there staring at his eyes. I just couldn’t look away. “Meri, OH MERI!” Lucy whispers at first then shrieks as she flings herself on top of me.

I tried to compose myself before I lifted my head away from his chest, but when I did, Colton gasped. “Fuck me baby” he said and whistled “You are stunning” I looked at him in confusion until her turned me round to the mirror and I saw that my eyes were gold again, meaning Maia was just under the surface. And that only happens with anger or lust, and it was obvious that I wasn’t angry right now. I closed my eyes and tried to calm myself down, mentally scolding Maia in the process. I opened my eyes, and they had returned to my blue grey although I could see the gold specks in them. I took a deep breath and looked over at Louise.

Tracy was watching me from her chair with the sharp, narrowed focus she sometimes got when the confusion lifted briefly. I was nearly done with the midday medication round, file closed, ready to leave, when she spoke. "That child," Tracy said. "She’s yours?" "Yes," I said. Tracy's eyes moved over my face with that calculating look that had nothing foggy about it. "She has unusual eyes," she said, after a moment. "Yes," I said, and picked up the file. "Hazel," Tracy said, before I could move. "They shift color depending on the light."

However, it wasn’t the same as to what I'm seeing now. There was a boy. I can’t recognize his face because of the weird blurry effect of the dream. The only thing I saw clearly were his eyes. His emerald-colored eyes are still engraved in my mind. Even though it’s already been a year since I last dreamt of it, I still can’t forget his eyes. The scenes may be different to what I'm seeing now, but they were both peculiar and still not on earth.

Solenne With a mixture of feelings, I made my way to the restroom. I had the urge to sob for no apparent reason. I never wept! I questioned, "What is going on?" as I gazed into the mirror at my hazel eyes. They were stunning and undoubtedly my best asset. My light brown hair, which had natural red streaks that highlighted my light brown eyes with orange and green undertones, matched my complexion. Everyone assumed I wore contacts. They were primarily my father's eyes with hazel and green, but the hint of red/orange came from my mother. Her dark brown eyes appeared to conceal a little flame behind them. I could only recall that much about them.

It was as if her feet were in an invisible lake of quicksand, sinking fast. When she tried to look around, all she saw was the forest or herself in it. She realized that she could no longer see herself clearly. It was as if someone was painting her picture onto the back of her eyelids, making her blindfolded. Or maybe it's not her eyes that are blindfolded. Maybe everything around her is just painted by itself. She wondered what color her eyes would be when she woke up after this nightmare. Her hazel-blue eyes are black. Maybe black means 'dark' or 'darkness'. She couldn't remember the word.

“I'll rip your tongue out, son of a bitch.” Katie growled, but he only reacted by pressing his body even harder against her, which only fueled her need. Her own body was betraying her. “Who the hell are you?” he growled, his voice piercing her skin, giving her goosebumps. He was so close to her that she stared right into her silvery eyes, which were swirling with power; this wasn't normal, even for werewolves; eyes weren't meant to do that.

Apollo shouted. “You purposely avoided the full truth.” She turned to Mae. “Take me to the cave, please.” Mae froze. “Your eyes…” she whispered. “I thought they were hazel.” “What? They are. Nothing special.” Amerie tried to stand but Kierian gripped her arm and pulled her back down so he could look into her eyes. “They were. But they aren’t anymore.” Amerie tore her arm free and stormed into the house. She pushed open the bathroom door and flipped on the light. The eyes starting back at her from the mirror were, indeed, not hazel. Her eyes had changed to a bright silvery blue. They were Asteri’s eyes.

Her daintiness is a front, a cover for the beast that writhes beneath. She’s wearing a mask, but I’d know those eyes anywhere. I’ve seen them before–twice now–in person. The first time, she spilled boiling hot tea all over my stomach. The second, she’d been trying to hide herself in that grimy booth in that even grimier diner in Veiled Valley. Each time, those eyes gave her away. They’re the purest blue-green, like polished sea-glass plucked from crystalline, sparkling sand on a far off beach. Princess Maeve–soon to be Queen Maeve of Eastonia–turns her head ever so slightly, revealing the diadem resting on the top of her head, her hair woven through it to keep it place.

The first being that Hazel, had jet-black hair while her twin, had platinum blonde hair that was bordering on being white. Secondly, Hazel's eyes were a beautiful shade of green which was made more prominent by the contrast with her black hair while Maeve's eyes were brown. Thirdly, Hazel was an angel. Maeve was bordering on being a literal demon. Since they were kids, Maeve had always been jealous of her twin. She wondered why she got all the attention and accolades while she was always being chastised and punished. That jealousy had grown till it had made Maeve despise her twin.
