Ruined

Ruined

"That rich army brat won't spend a penny on us. Infact, he will make us pennyless for kidnapping his family." "Pennyless AND lifeless." Keith added, causing the sarcastic humor to wipe away from their faces. Moving forward, Keith whipped out a syringe from her pocket and injected into Hazel's neck without giving her any chance to react. "So it's decided. We shall return the girl back with an apology note." ***

Before I write my review, I must say this, this book needs A MAJOR EDIT!! With so many grammatical and punctuation errors I struggled to get through it!! Having to read and reread sentences and paragraphs is really exhausting!!Other than that it was a good read with a good plot.

Though a Mirror Darkly

Though a Mirror Darkly

Everything else went into The Pit. The Pit was aptly named. Upon entering Greene Salvage, if hauling a load of “scrap” metal (tin, iron, steel, cast iron) you drove your truck or minivan onto a giant set of scales. After getting weighed, you pulled off the scales, took a right and backed down an incline into a recessed, fan-shaped area. The Pit. You chucked your metal, returned to the scales, got re-weighed, then reported to the main office and cashed out.

Ride Or Ruin The Biker Who Owned My Soul

Ride Or Ruin The Biker Who Owned My Soul

Safer walls, smarter systems, and fewer ghosts in the foundation. By midday, the first teams returned from the harbour ruins with salvage reports. The old insignia had been recovered, and several ledgers survived. More importantly, twelve loyal men trapped in the lower chambers had been pulled out alive. When Tomas entered the room covered in concrete dust and said, “They made it." Something in the atmosphere changed. The men who had looked hollow hours earlier now had something to hold onto, proof that the club was not only what had been destroyed. It was what still lived.

Crown of The Omega

Crown of The Omega

We won the army's freedom. But lost the war against parasitic infection spreading through reality. "How many?" Rhett demanded into the silence. Through our cosmic awareness, we searched. Found the infections. Seeds of Architect-corruption scattered across the kingdom. Hundreds of people who would slowly transform into harvest points. "Three hundred seventy-two infected," I said numbly. "Growing. Spreading. We cannot purge them all before the seeds grow." Queen Elara's voice came through dimensional communication. "Then we quarantine. Isolate the infected. Find a cure."

The Luna's Law

The Luna's Law

It was a long, arduous journey that brought me back to my savior, ready to provide my services for the greater good. Yet now, as I stood in this makeshift sanctuary in the Piemontesi Valley, the gravity of the contents I had salvaged weighed heavily on me. We had narrowly escaped with materials that, if misused, could lead to unimaginable destruction. Biological weapons, mass-produced antidotes—the consequences of failure loomed ominously in the air. But I couldn't allow that dread to stifle my resolve.

Godfather World

=== Rag-and-Bone Inventor Description: Created something out of trash. Effects: Increased chance of looting random items in trash piles. === Honestly, who would go through trash piles in the game? Zen was the only person who would do that. In his defence, he wasn’t going through trash piles. He was going through Paul’s discard bin. The gamer even asked for the NPC’s permission to retrieve those items for free before using them. How was this considered looting trash piles?

Little Sister

Little Sister

Since information-gathering was in disarray, Alex did not know how many places were affected but it did appear that Loadstone Rock had been the epicenter. The infestation seemed to be carried through ration cards and other paperwork, including even the rare paper money. Anything with a red star logo on it could become a vehicle. A tiny spiky star would substitute itself for the familiar and reassuring symbol, slither onto the body of whoever handled the infested object and then . . . And then an upright, ordinary, honest citizen and worker would be infected with Darkness and become an Enemy, a traitor to Motherland. A willing slave to the perfidious Wulfstan invaders who had broken the peace

My marriage was for money, his for vengeance

My marriage was for money, his for vengeance

she remarked, eyes down. "Too quiet, sometimes," he said. "Until you remember quiet is what the work aimed for all along." The real noise of triumph wasn't joy. It was the lack of ruin. --- 8:17 AM — Sector K, Debris-Sorting Scaffold The raised platform groaned as additional salvaged pieces were fitted into improvised containers: glass, plastic fiber, cloth scraps, memory-pocked wood. A teenage volunteer held up a half-burned plank. "This has names carved into it."

RUINED

RUINED

I leaned on Cassandra due to my weakened state, feeling a little dizzy. “Gargle first,” Azaia said and helped me get up. She gave me a glass of water and I took it. I quickly followed her instruction before finally feeling a little better. Cassandra was quiet the whole time until I sat on the sofa while Azaia stared at me. “Are you okay?” Cassandra asked when I was now sitting comfortably. She wiped off the sweat on my forehead and neck before looking directly at me. I opened my mouth, “The food you served me was probably spoiled already. The smell… I thought it was rotten,” I said.

THE RED SAVIOR’S SACRIFICE

THE RED SAVIOR’S SACRIFICE

"What are you doing here, kid?" Officer Daniel Miller didn't look up from the stacks of ledger paper as I walked into the precinct's back office. The room smelled of stale coffee and gunpowder. On the desk sat a pile of tributes—thick envelopes of cash, expensive watches, and gold rings—sent by families across the Syndicate for the "Red Savior." The person who was going to walk into the Abyss so their kids didn't have to. "Just taking a look at the price of a soul," I said, my voice sounding like gravel.
