It was a win-win situation for Brett. Everyone else was exasperated by the Spade family’s plan. Chase wasn’t bad at his job, but I wondered why he applied if he didn’t like the work he had to do. As far as Brett, I haven’t officially talked to him. Brett handed me my clothes, and I exchanged them for the remnants of the paper gown, or rather what was left that I hadn't shredded, to toss in the trash behind him. I never had the urge to fill silence with idle conversation, and Brett didn't typically either. His ceaseless rambling showcased his nervousness. Which kind of husband will be happy to see his wife on the news always when she's not celebrity, and by the way why are you concerned about her,” “Nothing, I was just curious about your wife and found out that she works in this company too. Did your mother get her a job in this company by sucking the CEOs dick?” Brett shaded, and Sebastian just stared at him as if his words weren't affecting him but deep down, it's affecting and he felt like strangling him to death but he does not want brett to die easily. He should have a painful death and beg for death to come.

He stepped inside, let the door close behind him, and walked to his seat without looking at anyone in particular. He set his briefcase down. Sat. Crossed one leg over the other. Then he looked at Mr. Bianchi. Mr. Bianchi looked back at him. “Mr. Keene.” Mr. Bianchi recovered his voice first. “We weren’t expecting you so quickly after your wedding to the CEO.”

Ben was thrown off the vehicle and crashed hard into the greenery. Clutching what looked like a fractured arm, he wailed in absolute agony. Food splattered all over the asphalt. I stopped in my tracks, watching the scene unfold for a brief moment. After being fired, Ben was reported within the industry for spreading rumors and helping falsify accounts. Not a single company would hire him. He was down to delivering food to make a living. Now, he couldn't even do that right. I didn't step in to help, but I didn't kick him while he was down either.

We both sat up so that we could talk to him better. “How are you both doing today?” Brett smiled at us. I am guessing he has no clue how they both treat women. We both faked our best smile. “Good.” I replied, obviously lying. “Great and you?” Vi lied as well. “Doing good. Have the day off today.” Brett said, sounding happy. “Ah. What do you do?” I asked Brett. “I work at my dad's training camp helping to train up and coming wrestlers.” Brett explained. “Well, that is nice.” I smiled at him.

My stomach churned as it reminded me of why I was back after seven years. “Good to know, son. Good to know.” Another cheer erupted and glasses clinked simultaneously from where Brett was playing. A skin-head, bulky man cursed fiercely, face reddened with anger. “He won,” I confirmed. “Yup, poor man. He doesn’t have any idea who Brett is,” Jett concurred proudly. Brett was a pool shark. Sadly, he stopped competing when his grandma died almost four years ago while he was on States tour. At the corner of my eye, I saw the framed photo of Brett and his team.
