Ryan There’s a river that runs through the Deadlands. The same river that splits Eastonia in two. On the other side, mountains hug the horizon, blurring the view of Tarsian beyond. In the Deadlands, the river is… wide, but still. A large, lumbering stretch of clear water that weaves through the plains. Here, in the Roguelands, in what used to be a city called Twin Rivers, now nothing but a husk of what it was twenty or so years ago when Ryatt and Ella were young, that same river is angry and narrow, full of rapids and rock.

Anahita Waterwolf POV We waterwolves have resettled on the banks of the Dream River that runs through the place once known as the Barren. Though to use the word 'barren' in relation to this magnificent place feels ridiculous. Many mornings I sit on the balcony of the packhouse, before the pack stirs, gazing out at the churning, roiling, foaming waves of the river, its banks densely packed with rich, dark mud. The colours of the river at dawn--blue, mauve, purple, indigo, green--remind me of the lifestone and that night when the poison was driven out. The lifestone disappeared, it's work done. And Silvia's iron--the physical iron anyway--was also gone.

Thankfully me and Preston weren’t officially a part of any wolf packs and thanks to my Grandma Caitlyn and my Grandma Lupa we can disguise our wolf scents. We were lead into this great room and I remember it from the night I came here and met that vampire and she told me that their clan was brought there to be a part of the Vasidi army, Sweet! I knew how to sneak around this room and into the hallways, after an hour or so when the guards were busy playing a game of cards, we snuck out of the hallways and went our separate ways, I found my first witch and it was easy to bring her down just like that I took down multiple vampires and witches.

THE RIVER OF TONGUES Arrival at Rivenmouth Twilight descends as Ceres and Xavier arrive at the edge of a narrow gorge hidden beneath the western cliffs. The wind howls eerily between jagged rocks, and the scent of sulfur hangs in the air. The Temple of Rivenmouth looms ahead, carved into the mountain's mouth like a beast frozen mid-roar. Between them and the temple lies a slow, glowing river—its current an unnatural hue, pulsing like blood beneath flame.

Now he river was completely still, like a
