The creatures started to disappear, dispersing themselves like some thick, black lightening strikes under the water. I dived back up to the surface of the sea. The sky welcomed me with its brightness as I looked around to find myself alone in the sea. The ship was gone, and so was Sofia and the man who had kidnapped her. I swam towards the East and headed for the last spot I saw them before I was dragged underwater. My eyes felt a little bit strange with the way I was seeing the horizon. It felt like I was looking through the lens of a man with a weak eyesight. Snapping my hands out of the sea in a quick motion, my eyes fell on a hand bigger and darker than my own hands. ~SOFIA~

I fiddle with the hem of my t-shirt, hesitating. Theo must pick up on my discomfort because he gives me a little nod, spinning around and swimming out closer to the waterfall. While his back is turned, I quickly pull my shirt off, then my sports bra. I toss them to the ground, then tug my shorts and panties down together, stepping out of them and trotting over to the water’s edge, lowering myself into it quickly. I let out a little puff of air when the cool water hits my skin, unprepared for the chill. The sound catches Theo’s attention and he starts to spin back around, so I lunge forward into the water, sinking down to my shoulders in the pool.

The water felt heavy, pulling her down into the deep, dark abyss. She opened her eyes underwater, seeing nothing but glowing blue bubbles and Victor's massive, dark shadow holding her.
