Paul replies and hangs up. Leaving my car at the airport, I run to the woods. Once I'm past the tree line, I shift mid-air, jumping over a log. I plant my paws on the ground and let out a howl. I turn my head to see my pack coming through the trees. I give them a look, and I run towards Chloe's scent with my pack right on my heels. Chloe's POV

They nod at my answer and give me another sad smile before placing a kiss on either side of my head. "If you don't mind I would like to take a nap, I'm exhausted" I say to them with a small smile "Okay, yell if you need anything" my mom says before exiting with my mother Ugh. This day went nothing like I had hoped it would, but Ava was right. I was bound to find out about their secrecy affairs sooner or later. I let out a sigh as I kick my shoes off and slide underneath my blanket. Maybe I can sleep this away. -

Then, without warning, a massive black wolf emerged from a bush and advanced straight toward me. With my heart pounding, I braced for the worst. But as the wolf approached, it stopped and looked at me with a gentle, almost human-like light in its eyes.

I wished I could shift, then dad wouldn’t have to carry me that day like the burden I was. My heart dropped when I heard a loud crash and before I knew it, I was thrown to the hard ground. I felt a sharp pain in my arm and I looked up, my vision filled with a scene of chaos. A fierce blaze had engulfed the forest, and a pack of wild wolves that had never been seen before was viciously attacking my dad and the rest of my pack. *************************************

Chapter 1: Into the Woods "In the wilderness, my soul strums to the rhythm of uncured bliss." THIRD PERSON'S POV Blurry Vision of the place, that's the first thing she saw. She keeps on blinking her eyes until the vision was clear. At first, the darkness welcomes her and the eerie feeling of the surroundings. An eleven-year-old white-haired girl loses her way back home. The cold gush of the wind made her a little shiver, but she handles it well, due to her unique existence.
