Vines, blackened as if touched by fire, coiled around its base, pulsing faintly with an eerie glow. The grand entrance yawned open like a hungry maw, darkness swirling within. The air was thick, heavy, humming with something unseen yet felt.
Elior hesitated for only a moment before stepping forward, the echo of his footfalls swallowed by the void beyond. The others followed, their forms wreathed in flickering torchlight, their faces drawn but determined.
