Now, I’m finally looking to the future, and for the first time, it’s fucking bright. As I near the border of the territory, I veer back around, set to lead the pack in a giant loop as I revel in the sound of so many paws drumming behind me. The plan is for me to complete the loop, then break off to head back and meet Vienna, but that all goes to hell when my wolf picks up a strange scent on the night breeze- a strange, delicious scent. He goes fucking berserk, sprinting ahead, too fast for the others to catch up. I growled loudly as I began to shift. Alastor, Harriet, Heather, and Iris were already shifted, pawing at the ground, waiting for me. As the silver fur engulfed my body, I fell to the ground at a run. I let out my loudest howl signaling it was now or never to my pack. ***Bring my baby home.*** Gaea’s voice called to me. My paws dug into the earth, each stride longer and faster than the last. I couldn’t move fast enough. The thunderous sound of my pack of wolves charging through the forest, sending all the creatures that lurked in the woods running in terror.

The white fur and the royal black mark on his forehead gave away his identity I tried moving under him but he snarled at me showing his anger towards me I stopped all movements and just laid there staring at his beautiful eyes He broke our eye contact and got up changing into his human I stood up and dusted myself . I expected him to shout at me for crossing the border. But he just turned around and started walking. I stood there confused at his behaviour "Do you need a special invitation now! Hurry up !!" I started following him and for next 10 minutes we walked silently towards the pack house

Dante's POV The morning of the hunt had arrived. The Alpha's were all lined up waiting for the horn. They had a five-minute headstart on the rest of the pack. The horn blew, and they were off. Growls and yips sounded all around him; as they raced further into the woods. The morning air was crisp and invigorating. It was perfect weather for the mating hunt, and Dante's nose led him ever forward. He heard the faint sound of the second horn in the distance and knew the rest of the wolves were released turned loose. Spiking his adrenaline, it spurred him on. The earthy scents of the forest filled his nostrils as he breathed in deeply. He sploshed down a shallow creek bed. Tatiana's POV

I quickly hug her, grab the bag, and then I’m taking off through the front door without so much as a glance at my dad. My boots barely hit the ground when I shift into my wolf, take the bag into my mouth, and run. I never feel the cold, but right now I’m as cold as the snow crunching beneath my paws. My breath streams out in harsh, rapid puffs, but I head into the trees as fast as I’ve ever run in my life, not even bothering to bring my clothes. I keep going until a deafening howl cuts through the air in the distance and my fur instantly stands on end.

I thought for a moment. "Once upon a time," I began, "there was a wolf who forgot how to howl. He was cold and lonely and afraid of the dark. But then an omega showed up. Pregnant. Starving. Stubborn. And she taught him that the dark wasn't so scary. Not when you had someone to hold onto." Kael's breathing slowed. "What happened next?" he murmured. "I don't know yet. We're still writing it." "Good." His voice was barely a whisper. "Because I want to read every chapter."

The wolves surrounding me were no threat to me. As they lunged at me all at once, I opened one hand wide while reaching for my taming knife with the other. My glare was fiercer than any of the wolves. They froze, intimidated by my presence. I mimicked a howl. The hostility in my glare made them back off. I did not manage to escape the ordeal unscathed—I was covered in wounds. I called my assistant, "Philip, come pick me up in the wilderness of Chicily. Also, inform Mr. Lawson that I'll take the job. I'll work here."
