I can taste blood. Ewwww. I dont like blood. But it’s like I am craving it. Strange. I don’t like bitter things. And especially weird smelling foods or drinks. But my body is responding on its own. It’s like a magnetic pull. Am I dead? "Callum. Wake up". I heard some faint sound. Someone is calling me. But why am I tied up? Why can’t I move? Someone kidnapped me? But why would someone. I don't have anything to offer.

“Teenagers in particular are attracted to explore ruins.” “The explosive devices used were magical in nature, Connery might be able to assist,” Sigrid watched as the operator of a machine paused and the workers gathered to examine a body unearthed by the excavation. They dug it free, placed it on a stretcher, and carried it to where others lay in the shade of a tarpaulin and covered by sheets. “A Van Helsing.” “We have unearthed a few zombies,” Abigail replied grimly. “Severely damaged, and yet horribly still animated. The brain must be destroyed to put them to their rest.”

"Not from the restaurant since everything there is wiped and corrupted. But from a small shop nearby that no one would ever bother with. At eleven on the dot, a black SUV sped out of the area." “Plate?” "That was fake, so it could be a robber vehicle or them," Adam answered quickly. "But we can track the route it took. The street cameras caught glimpses because the area had street lights and all that. We're currently following the trail now, mapping where it could've stopped or a transfer might have happened." It wasn't much, but this was a silver lining for me. To me, this was oxygen. "Good. Do it," I growled. "I do not care how much it takes or how many men would be needed for it. Do whate

All the codes remained unchanged, all the safety nets were untouched and not a single security trap had been set off. Our borders had been fine-combed and yet there wasn’t a single trace of the invaders. No sign that there had been a breach or even that there had been a stranger there. Hell, it looked like the body had bloody well magically spawned at the border. And yes, frustratingly, I’d also looked into that option, but the witches assured me that if the body had been tampered with magically, there would have been a magical residue in the air. Nothing! Two days of working day and night, and we had nothing to show for it!

I got a call from the traffic police that Helen had been in an accident. When I saw her, I could not hold back my tears. She had collided with a freight truck. A steel rod from the truck had pierced straight through her chest and into her heart. The doctor explained that the rod had impaled her heart. Pulling it out without extreme caution would cause massive blood loss. Nate was the only surgeon in the city skilled enough for such a delicate operation. Even then, no one could guarantee she would survive once the rod was removed. The doctor sighed and looked at me. “I heard Dr. Black has been scheduled for another surgery today. I’m afraid we can’t recall him.”

The sight before Xiao Chen was grisly and gruesome. Dead bodies scattered everywhere around him, most of them belonging to the acolytes or students of the Corpse Refinery Sect who had been killed. All those things didn't exist right?
