She slapped his hand away. “Touch me again without a reason—and I swear I’ll burn your world down.” Then she walked out. Naked, except for her coat. Bruised. Shaking. Raw. And more dangerous than he’d ever seen her. As she steps into the elevator, her phone buzzes again. Unknown Number: “Phase Two has begun. Welcome back, EVE.”

I got a reply the same way my message went " Jack won't leave without you if you want me to go you are coming with me" " stubborn girl" he answered with a smile " I am, I am, my own Alpha " he shouted and his eyes flew open pure black, they had no soul in them, " Jack, " the woman said relieved " is it you honey," she asked seeing his unhuman eyes The dark slowly fades bringing them back to normal color " Mum," he said and grabbed her in a hug" I thought I would never see you "Eve, thank you " the lowered his voice in respect " now you two have to go "

He's planning to overthrow his father and go to war. Eve pushed away from her desk, moved to the window. The city stretched out below her....millions of people living their normal lives, completely unaware that monsters like Antonio Valentino existed. That organizations like The Covenant were out there developing biological weapons and testing them on kidnapped victims. That the man she loved was planning a war that could get him killed. Her phone buzzed. Dimitri: How are you holding up? Eve smiled slightly, typed back: Distracted. Can't focus on work.

She just clutched my necklace and whispered, “They're listening.” We fled through the catacombs with sirens echoing behind us, the child cradled between us. Out into the night, vanishing into Istanbul’s chaos. Her name was Eve. At least, that’s what the tag on her wrist said. No last name. No birth date. “She’s a prototype,” Wren said, examining the data we extracted. “Designed for immunity. Intelligence. Obedience.” “She’s a child,” I snapped. “Not a weapon.” Adrian stared at her as she slept. “She might be both.”

I tried to speak, but my throat was so dry. Eve quickly leaned closer and gave me a sip of water. "Don’t speak, just eat.” Her face was pale, but she forced a gentle smile. I looked up at her and whispered, "Eve, you’re alive. I’m so glad." She nodded, tears in her eyes, and tore off another piece of meat, pressing it to my lips. I clenched my mouth shut, shaking my head frantically. Eve’s gaze was firm. "Emma, you need to stay alive. There’s hope as long as you’re alive."

I say equally excitedly, and smile at my friend. “I can’t either. Maybe we’ll find some clues! We could be detectives, like in CSI, or maybe more like in that show I showed you, Limitless, since we’ve got our supernatural abilities, and Brian had NZT,” Alexander says, babbling on about a show we’ve been watching. It’s just like him to drag some pop-culture reference into our every day lives, but I love it. I’m not used to it, but I love it. “NZT is nothing like our wolf-stuff,” I comment, smirking a little at him for the stretchy resemblance he’s making up.

“But the Celestials… they captured your mom. And your dad… he’s been thrown in jail for attacking Alpha Celestial when he tried to intervene.” “What are you saying?” I whispered, incapable of processing it. “They’re forcing your father to agree to their terms. If he doesn’t, they’ll keep him locked up—or worse… they might kill him.” The air went out of my lungs as I stepped backward, clutching my chest. I clenched my fist. “The Celestials? You mean Rebeeca’s family?” Alex nodded grimly. “They’ve stopped recruiting from outside of their world. Instead, they’ve started enslaving Omegas of Lemonia. Your mom… she was taken due to that decision.”

James asks, concerned. "I don't think the attacks are from any of the pack members," I admit. "I think it's a new group trying to gain territory and establish a new pack." "I think so too," James agrees. "Do you think they might be the Grim Claw Pack?" my Gamma, Victor, questions. "Honestly, no. But Alpha Lucas doesn't inspire confidence in me. However, I don't think they are behind the attacks," I replied. "That's good," Victor agrees. "I want to reiterate that it is extremely important that you keep an eye on Eve. She is not protected when she is alone in the city; she is in the neutral territory there. Make sure she doesn't notice you."
