Our footsteps echoed slightly. “Luck is on our side, Carl. There’s a train already here.” As the door behind us automatically resealed itself noisily, I focused on the red train in front of us. It looked like a high speed magnetic train one might find in Japan or Europe, not some American Amtrak passenger train. There were six train cars. The first five looked unoccupied. The sixth car looked very full. “Don’t stare at the occupants of the rear car, Carl. Try to walk as normally as you can and pretend you’re not injured. It is important that you and I look as nonchalant as possible.”

The sheer mass and momentum of the train didn't just push the walker aside; it tore it in half. Armor plating shrieked and tore. Sparks rained down like a meteor shower. The *Mammoth* violently bucked, the left tread lifting entirely off the ground for a heart-stopping second, before slamming back down onto the blood-soaked mud of the encampment. They burst through the wreckage, shattering the remaining infantry lines, and emerged on the other side. Tristan immediately released the titanium cable. As the train rushed by, I looked across the tracks. Marcus was still standing there. Instead of running for safety, he raised his gun and aimed at the train. He fired three quick shots at the front window, but the bullets only bounced off the thick glass with a shower of sparks. The train never slowed down. Then, suddenly, a side door on the moving train slid open. A hand shot out, grabbed Marcus by the collar of his coat, and pulled him inside with shocking strength. His flashlight slipped from his hand, hit the tracks, and shattered into pieces. In a single second, Marcus disappeared into the train.

A huge explosion echoes through the station, with the train that goes out of its track grinding the platform that should kill the hundreds of people in the process. Everyone stops as the aftermath freezes them in shock. The torn pieces and burning trains are tainting the sky with its amber red, with its dark smoke that goes all the way into the sky. Yet, no one got injured.

They were in cahoots and were very united in their front. Christina was severely injured after being thrown out by the explosion and wave of air just now. Her entire back was bloody, and she could not move. Clara happened to pass by her, and Christina reached out her hand. She was hopeful as she grabbed Clara’s trousers legs and begged, “Clara, save me. Take me with you, please…” The surrounding fire ignited with a bang. Her body hung outside the moving train, sparks bursting against the metal as she screamed. For one moment, her life depended entirely on my hand. I smiled down at her.
