The Berserker’s Pauldrons hummed with restored power, their latent strength seeping into my shoulders. It was enough. I armored up, the pauldrons settling with a familiar, heavy comfort. The cloak shimmered over me, rendering me a ripple in the moonlight. Then I slipped out into the dead night.

Those guys have different base colors on their cloak, there are black, red, blue, green, yellow, and white with the black circles on it (the common base color has the white circles on it. “We have sent our troops to every spot of this country.” The yellow cloak reported. “They’re on the move to build their very territories.” He added. “I just received a report that Taye, Who occupies Bandung has been killed tonight.” The blue cloak said. “Who the hell killed him?! An elite member like him can”t be killed so easily!” The red cloak added. “Well it”s true, but still, he”s not so strong. So what”s the deal?” The green cloak added underestimating Taye.

The cloak on it's body was identical to the one my mother had worn when she was alive. I felt a jolt of anger and confusion. How could someone be wearing my mother's cloak? The cloak had gone missing along with her body. My thoughts raced as I tried to make sense of what was happening. Was this some kind of sick joke? Or was it something more sinister? This couldn't be another one, my mother had that cloak specifically made for her, that material cost a fortune and required soldiers to escort it into Darkwood without it getting stolen. There's only one of that material or cloak in the world and it belonged to my late mother.

"I need... I need to be outside." My caretaker didn't argue further. I heard him collecting items around the room. "Let me help you dress properly," he said, approaching with what sounded like heavy fabric rustling in his hands. He assisted me to my feet with practiced efficiency, draping something substantial around my shoulders—a cloak of some kind, heavy and warm. "This is your ceremonial cloak," he explained as he fastened it at my throat. "Black with silver embroidery along the edges." I nodded, though the description meant nothing to me.

"Take this on your journey." Aurora took the fabric. It seemed alive in her hands. "A cloak?" She asked, knowing it was more. "A Guardian's cloak. It will help you on your journey. The cloak holds far more than meets the eye without weighing you down. Though, I don't recommend putting fresh food in it…I learned that the hard way. Also, if you pull up the hood around your head, your face will be invisible to anyone except those with Guardian cloaks. It does many other things, not even I know all if it's capabilities."
