The building sits at the far edge of campus like an afterthought- tall, narrow, and slightly older than the elegant main halls. Where the other dorms had decorative balconies and warm lights glowing through arched windows, Iron Wing looks… functional. Solid. “Keep moving,” Adrian calls over his shoulder without slowing down. A couple of guys scramble to catch up. I adjust my grip on my suitcase handle and fall into step behind him. Iron gates swing open with a long creak, and we step inside a dim stone foyer that smells faintly of polished wood and old books. A wide staircase splits into two, leading to the upper floors.

Everything grandma had told me flashed through my mind, and for the first time, I didn’t see kindness in his eyes. “I’ve come to claim what is mine.” I frowned, wondering what he meant. “If my brother thinks that you and that bastard child of yours are so important, I finally have the upper hand, and will become the new Alpha.” Alex sneered, sending a shiver down the back of my spine. It was the first time I saw the cruelty in his eyes, and I whipped around and rushed up the stairs. Alex followed me, grabbing hold of me so fast that I couldn’t stop him.
