Just above the roof, the sentinels pulled at the chains holding the covering in place, until the round iron slid back, leaving a wide hole that gave way to the sky above. Bright sunlight filtered in, falling across the dragon’s shiny scales. Vaelora could swear that she noticed Andronikos’ scales shimmer a bright golden color.
