Steel and Sin
Ace sat beside her, shirt half-open, hair a mess.
He brushed a thumb across the viper mark.
Ashley’s chest tightened.
“That little snake is going to fade,” she whispered.
Ace leaned down, kissed her waist, and murmured.
“Yeah.
But the memory sure as hell won’t.”
Her breath stopped.
He looked up at her, eyes brighter than usual — not playful.
Not teasing.
Honest.
And there was something else there.
Something he covered with jokes and smirks and ego.
Something almost… vulnerable.
“You good?” he asked softly.
