Jefferson nodded again, his mouth shut so tightly that his lips looked very thin.
The conversation stopped there, making Jefferson feel irritated that his question seemed to be ignored by both of them.
"Ah, by the way, Homer, Hugo. I was wondering when it was time to go home."
Saying their names without extras felt strange on Jefferson's lips, like eating a bitter flower. He wanted to spit it out, hoping the bitter taste would disappear from his mouth, but it was stubborn. No matter how hard Jefferson wash his mouth, the taste still not coming off.
