Dominic commanded. "What about the boy she was with? Is he her child?" "Boss, I was just about to get to that. It might sound weird, but I haven't been able to find anything about the boy. I have even used our men from the dark side, but they have uncovered nothing. It is like he doesn't even exist." Dominic took a deep breath. "And the woman he was with, Laila Moore, she is single, and she has never given birth. So maybe she had adopted him, or they are related in some other way."

I motioned for him, softly, with my arm and he ran to me, wrapping his arms around me. Damon and I had adopted him after two years of marriage. We couldn't get our child and neither of us wanted a surrogate so we had to opt for adoption. "Don't be a bad boy like daddy okay?" He nodded his head, staring up at me with his lilac orbs. He was a cambion just like Damon. It was one of the reasons we fell in love with him at first sight. We'd adopted him as a baby. "Always tell mommy whenever you're going out". I ruffled his midnight black hair and he smiled toothily.

I was sure Chris was just as shocked as I was by Dominic’s demand. “You mean the ones I killed before I got in here?” “They were nobodies.” Dominic dismissed the thought with ease. "My clan is bigger than you think. You will inherit it if you join me and take my last name." I could see the hatred burning in Chris’s eyes. One thing I knew for sure—he had rejected his biological father’s last name, choosing instead to take his stepfather’s. But I also remembered him telling me that his stepfather treated him worse than the thugs in the kidnapping house.

After that, he chose to go in again, on his own will, and learn all he could learn of himself and of the mirrors. At some point, Dominik was so good at going in and out of the Mirrors, that there was not much more for him to learn. Domi even learned how to cheat the mirrors, that was why he was still too shy for a relationship, besides the fact that he was too busy, and he liked it that way. The kid became a man having a second family in the Dreamland. Even friends that included the King and the Queen of that dimension, which not only included the Floating City. My heart clenched at the thought of how little Dominic would have felt when he was thrown out into the harsh world. “My father was ruthless and I knew that. Also, I knew the fact that he would never take me back in. I never understood why the packs rejected rogues, just because they weren’t born with the mark and connection of the pack. Anyways, I was left to fend for myself.” Dominic changed sides and looked up at me. He hand-picked a loose strand of my hair and twirled it around his finger. “Victor found me. And he took me in. Of course, he had his own agenda. Nobody does anything for free and the shelter he provided me with had a cost with it.”

Dominic asked, Lykan stared at me for a while. "So, at first, there was only an adoption letter that proved that you were adopted, but here's the weird thing: there was no time you came into the pack......" He paused," meaning there was never a time when you weren't in the pack. There was no rumor of you being brought into the pack. It's like you were always in the Northern Range Pack." He stared at me again. I was shocked and confused about what this meant. "But I'm obviously adopted," I say firmly.

“So there’s nothing, we don’t know where he comes from?” The worry on her face only sinks in as I dread what else she’s about to reveal to me when she beckons I come closer. When Nia sees the boy, she begins to stretch towards him, “Do-Domi….” She attempts to call his name, trying to slide out of my arms and mother collects her instead. “Vyin, there’s something peculiar about Domino. He’s like you and your siblings- He’s heterochromatic”.

I ask trying to be brave, I don't want to be locked in, not again. "You're dad biological daughter, we're all a family, his last words were to protect you. We won't be able to see you with just some random dom." Adam starts, there's no blood relation for sure, I'm only half a breed or that's what Rocco called me that day.
