Is On My Block A Book Novels & Stories

"Book club." "Where?" "The community center on Maple Street." I groaned. "You've got to be kidding me." "I'm not." "Dean, I'm not interested in sitting around with a bunch of strangers talking about books I haven't read." "Then maybe you should have read them," he countered, still not looking at me. I wanted to reach forward and smack the phone out of his hand. Instead, I just sank lower in my seat and glared at the back of his head.

The digital crowd turned into a mob. User123- Looking tired Nora! The block real? Kadelgreen- when’s your next book, I’m sure writing isn’t that hard Nora remained calm. “I did struggle with writer's block, but my new book is currently underway and is progressing smoothly.” Booklover24: Yo! Where Ethan at Golden_baddie- heard you guys finna get a divorce, imma shoot my shot at Ethan first chance I get FinnaceGuy- if my wife cause a scandal that affected my company, I’d leave her too.

Sophia tilted her head and said, “That’s really odd. We’ve never seen any residents from this block while walking in and out during the daytime!” “There are two units per floor and a total of seven floors in this block. There are only fourteen units in the entire block. Besides, everyone is busy working during the daytime. It’s normal for you not to run into anyone.” “Don’t you find it odd that we’ve never run into anyone?” Sonnet tilted her head curiously after hearing what Sophia said. “Aunt York, after hearing what you just said, I just recall that I’ve never run into any neighbors even when I’m in the elevator!”

I asked, seeing a little frown on her face. "I'm unable to find a book. Maybe a student took it without getting it issued. These students are just very careless." She said looking at the computer screen. "Oh. What book?" I asked, out of curiosity. "Umm it's 'The girl he used to know' by-" she read from the computer screen but I completed her sentence. "By Tracey Garvis Graves?" I said it more like a question. "Yes! That's the book." She said, jolting up in amusement.

Opal Saturday afternoon brought a gentle autumn rain to Savannah, turning the cobblestone streets slick and reflective. Seeking refuge from the drizzle, I took the triplets to E. Shaver, Bookseller—a cozy, labyrinthine indie bookstore filled with the comforting aroma of old paper, leather bindings, and dark roast coffee. "Stay together, please," I instructed softly, unwrapping my damp scarf as we navigated the narrow wooden aisles. "Mommy, can I look at the space books with the giant rockets?" Oliver asked, tugging on my sleeve, his dark eyes wide with excitement.

You walk in anywhere, and it’s all anyone can talk about. Even Buck at Bucky’s can’t seem to shut up about how proud he is of Mare for publishing the book. The memories of her already haunt this small town enough. She had to pour salt in the wound by publishing a book that sent this entire town into a tizzy. “Are you going to ask what book?” Mom asks after some time, letting me have time with my thoughts before she prods.

this book is on a temporary Hiatus. I will be back to it as soon as I am able, but I hit some writer's block on it and I have my other ongoing books as well as a new, short project and a new contest book in the works. so while, I am puttingit on a brief Hiatus, it will not be left hanging for too long. I have a chapter half written and then my brain just got stuck on how I am approaching the next part.

I think it's for entertainment. I pass each column of shelves, eyeing those past-dusty books that have been written with a feather. "Did you find something?" I ask Benny. We both went separate ways. I'm sure that Benny is reliable enough to actually help us. "I got this book," he holds it up for me to see. "There's a huge family tree on some of the pages. It's also written." He walks to my side, handing the big book, but the book immediately touches the hard wood floor.

I let out a relieved sigh and as I was going to go back in, I noticed something was on the ground. It was a really big book titled "Top Colleges and Universities in the USA". I remembered Blake said it once, that he was going to show this book to me and help me find the colleges that I might be interested in. I picked up the book and noted how heavy it was. There must be at least a thousand pages in there. I opened the first page, and there was a post-it note stuck on it: "I've highlighted all the places that I thought you might like. Hope that might help you with your search. —B"

He hands me Grace’s copy of Alice in Wonderland, his eyes guarded, creased with concern. “Why even bring a book to a thing like this?” Alix asks. “Ever heard of iBooks? Or W*****d? If you wanna be a total nerd and sit in the corner reading in public, at least do it on your phone.” “It’s Grace’s book, actually,” I begin, not sure where I’m going to take this. “We were sitting on that bench, and… Grace had got a call…”
