There it was. The question she’d been circling since the beginning. I sat down across from her. “You want the truth?” “Yes,” she said immediately. “Now.” I studied her face. The exhaustion. The strength beneath it. The fire she didn’t know how to use yet. “I was born powerless,” I said. “In a family that worshipped power.” She blinked, clearly not expecting that. “I watched others shape the world while I studied it from the shadows,” I continued. “I learned early that knowledge could be a weapon too.”

I started to summon my strength in the hopes of trying to break free of the handcuffs binding my wrists. I had plenty of temper and plenty of time, but my powers just couldn’t break through. I tried and tried, but nothing. I was the same as I had always been, completely powerless. I shuffled up the bed as I heard a movement on the other side of the door. It was like I had to get as far away as possible from the danger, despite knowing there was no way of me actually getting away from it.

He also told him to make sure he was careful with me and that if I tapped into my full powers, I could rip apart everyone in the pack. All my life, I had only known myself to be an abomination. Shapeshifters were deeply hated in my pack. I had no knowledge that being a shapeshifter had it's perks. That night, as I lay down under my shed, I pondered so many thoughts about what I had just discovered. I had no idea I could be as powerful as my alpha described. It gave me a feeling of hope. I loathed everyone in my pack and I finally felt like this was a way I could gain my freedom.

He asked, "Your name." I paused for a moment, then immediately brought my legs together and let my arms hang straight at my sides. I raised my head and straightened my back before in a loud, clear voice, "My name is Rebecca Lane! My strengths are that I'm hardworking and can handle hardship! No matter what role it is, I'm confident I can do it well! Please give me a chance, director!" The corner of Theodore's mouth twitched. Meredith's POV: It says that every omega had powers ranging from psychic abilities to the gift of dreaming to even healing properties. The book is mostly about how the first omega came to be and how she taught her kind how to use their mystical powers. This is like a big manual. Halfway through the book, it turns into a biography of the first twenty omegas in existence. It told the stories of their struggles in life and in unlocking their powers. It explained the methods they used to nurture those powers and make themselves stronger.

“Do you think I’ll kneel? Do you think I’m weak?” A shiver ran through me as I raised my hands, and I felt the first surge of power since she had touched me. It was hotter than fire, darker than shadows, but it was mine.Unstoppable. A power I didn’t yet fully understand, but that I knew was tied to her… and to me.

I said wondering where this whole conversation was heading, "I want you to protect her," he said turning his phone screen to me, 'her'? my eyes slowly fell on the screen, a girl with her blonde hair packed in a ponytail sat with a pile of books by her side, she is obviously a nerd even her big round glasses say a lot, she looked fixated on whatever information she was getting from the book that even if an attack was to happen in the room right beside her she may not even know, but something about her made me feel there was more than what meets the eyes, "A girl really?" I asked in a bored tone,

“It wasn’t my wolf’s fault or anything that could be done though they injected me with something to repress any possibility of me changing. I tried but it just wasn’t possible.” “You are right and your wolf just needs to accept it and it will happen as you heal. Your wolf will emerge again and more powerful than before.” “What if I’m not ready to learn about all my powers?” She shrugged, “Then we wait but the longer we wait the more power you are giving Melina I don’t know about you but I don’t think that woman deserves anything.” Her face tightened as she said Melina’s name and I couldn’t help noting it seemed everyone was making their choice by calling her Melina over any title.
