Isleen comes down the stairs and looks at Isaac for a long moment. Her nose scrunches again. “Blood.” “What do you mean?” I ask, bending down. “Dad is injured. I smell blood,” she explains. I freeze for two reasons.

Isaac asked disappointedly as he lowered his gaze and prepared his supplies to draw out my blood. Wearing white gloves, he didn't look at my face, as he was disappointed at the sight of me having Richard's name on my chest and also seeing me in this harem. Taking in a deep breath, I tensed as Isaac stood next to me, his masculine scent invading my nostrils as he took my left hand to draw my blood. Once he was done, he stepped back and said, "I am through. I will take my leave now and send the test results to my consultant."

Kalan worryingly asks from somewhere next to me. I open my mouth to speak but only blood comes gushing out, I cough trying to stand up again but I'm only forced down on my knees.
