“I’m glad you did.” I reached out and took his hand. “You shouldn’t have forgiven me so easily either.” He shrugged. “Maybe. But I didn’t want to spend another day hating you. It was exhausting.” “I know,” I whispered. “I hated me too.” His thumb brushed over my fingers. “Then maybe we stop hating ourselves. Start over.” I nodded slowly. “Fresh start.” He smiled a little. “With rules?” I raised a brow. “Rules?” “Yeah,” he said, propping himself on his elbow. “Like… no secrets. No running away. And no sleeping on the couch after arguments.”

I guess I did hurt the people around me and maybe I should use this second chance given to me to make everything right. He came back with a glass of water and I gulped it down. “How long till we land?” I asked in a low voice. “Almost an hour.” He replied. I nodded and he went back in. I rested my head on the seat and closed my eyes. It is going to be a new beginning. Stay positive. Everything is going to be alright. I am getting a clean slate. Not many people get the chance to start over. I should make the best out of it. First I have to get better so that I won’t be a bother to anyone. I will just have to start my life from the scratch. Enough with this pity party. There are people out there with worst conditions in their lives than mine. Atleast I have people I can rely on.
