The wrong brother.
“Please, I know you are in there and I know I messed up. I shouldn't have said those things. I was wrong. I was hurt and confused, and I took it out on you and that wasn't fair.”
But still– silence.
I leaned my forehead against the door. “You didn't deserve that,” just continued. “You've always been there for me, and I let my insecurity turn me into some ugly duckling. I'm so sorry.”
My voice broke in my last words, but still she said nothing.
Tears burned my eyes as I wiped them off angrily, frustrated at myself. “I don't expect you to forgive me right away. I just need you to know that I know I was wrong.”
