I stepped back to let them in, and the moment the door closed behind them,
The tears came again, harder this time. They wrapped me in their arms; no questions asked; they just pulled me into a group hug.
The three of us sat down together, and for a moment, no one spoke. Jessie squeezed my hand, her grip firm and gentle. The concern in her betrayed the reassuring smile on her lips.
Eliana reached out and tucked a strand of hair behind my ear, her touch gentle. A soft smile appeared on her lips.
