Thomas didn’t let the uncertainty linger.
“Then let me make a suggestion,” he said, cutting in smoothly. “You shouldn’t stay here—not like this. But there’s somewhere you can breathe. Somewhere safe.”
He tapped a code into a side panel, and another door slid open, revealing a second vehicle waiting below.
“Let me take you to the Ito family house,” Thomas continued, his tone warming. “It’s extraordinary. Right in the downtown district, hidden in plain sight. The way it fits into the city—you’d never know it was there unless you were invited.”
