“Sold for sixty million!" Did I just spend sixty million for a slave?

I said, shaking my head negatively. The man's eyebrows widened, and he smiled mockingly. “Interesting. The slave is already starting to rebel.” As soon as he had said his words, he released the chains at his feet. The latter fell to the ground with a dull thud. I saw him remove his belt in a sudden and rapid movement. It took my brain a long time to understand what he was about to do, and when I finally understood, he had already raised his belt. “No…no, I’m sorry.” I said, lowering my head, then I let out a cry of despair, holding out my wrists.

Though truth be told, I did little more than wait my turn, yet my body has already decided that it's done enough for the day. Tossing some crispier bits of bacon and an omelette onto my plate, I make my way towards a dining table. There are three set up in the room, which sits just off of the kitchen. I plant myself at the emptiest one and feel myself tense up a little, feeling every pair of eyes at the table on me. The ones who were animatedly talking become silent as I settle down. I cringe inwardly and avoid looking at any of them. “It’s Lisandra- the slave; the bait,” I can hear a taunting voice, purposely just loud enough for me to hear.

After some time, he collected himself and said, “Please don’t call me that, Sir. I wouldn’t dare claim to be above you.” Myrddin smiled. He believed himself to be too abrupt. He looked at James and asked, “My friend, who’s your master?” “My master?” James froze. Then, he smiled and said, “My master is called Jabari, Emperor Jabari.” “Jabari?” Myrddin racked his brains but could not recall any person of this name. There was no one called Jabari in the Boundless Realm if his memory served him right. He thought about it and said, “Perhaps I’ve been ignorant.”

She nodded at me as she stare back on the window. I watch Jacob as he pointed back on the things he see around the city, fascinated. "Aunt Nee, look I see a Darth Vader on the shop! I said to the prisoner nestled within. "Your Luna is speaking to you," Jabari called at Strauss with pure menace in his tone. "I'll make you regret what you did to me." Strauss spat on the floor of the cell room as he stood and strode out. "Your wrongs will not be forgiven." Jabari seized him by his collar before he was fully out. As a beta, Strauss was built larger than other wolves but Jabari picked him like a piece of linen, his own mass making the other man look like a joke.
