Jabari asked, making his voice sound super small and innocent. Ayomide thought the boy was finally letting his guard down. She walked over and knelt on the rug. "Of course, sweetie. Let me see what you have." Jabari pulled his hands out from behind his back. A small, bright white snow-snake was coiled around his wrist, showing its tiny sharp fangs. "This is my new pet, Moony," Jabari said with a big laugh. The snake fixed its yellow eyes right on Ayomide's face and hissed loudly, flicking its tongue out.

Jenny followed them with her car. Attention all over them. It was the time for another human being who discover their truth. “What are you doing here? What do you know about all this?” Jasper closed the gap in three long steps, clutching her neck.
