Now she was a woman he would be proud to call his Queen. “I have something for you,” he mumbled. Archer’s helper walked in with the sword he had formed for her wrapped in a black velvet cloth. “I had this made for you.” “What?” Adalia pulled away the cloth. Her jaw dropped as her fingers smoothed over the crystals on the black hilt. It was magnificent. “I love it.” Liora burst into the room a stern look on her face. “You are letting her fight,” it was an accusation more than it was a question.

I looked at Hayden amazed. "WOAH" I whispered out loud. "The legend says that whenever James held this sword, he first washed it in the water of the Lapis patera so his conquest would be just, fair and everlasting" I walked towards the stone bowl and dipped the sword in the water. The blade shimmered and glowed in the water. I took it out from the water and placed it back inside the scabbard and strapped it. I covered it with my sweatshirt and looked around watching other weapons that had the names of other families engraved on them. I walked towards the exit and placed my hands on the wall. The wall opened and we walked on the other side, in the basement and the wall behind us turned solid.

I hissed, feeling the searing heat bite into my hand as the cursed substance oozed closer to the hilt. Wenally’s smirk faltered when I didn’t drop the sword. I tightened my grip, ignoring the pain. Jason’s blood was fighting the enchantment, and I could feel it—a quiet, steady resistance pushing back against the corruption. I used her moment of hesitation to my advantage, swinging my blade with all my strength. The edge of my sword caught her armor, slicing through the leather and drawing blood.

“You can't go down with your eyes watery that way. Comport yourself before you step down….. I will wait till you put yourself together.” I exhaled a deep breath and wiped my face with my scarf. On doing that, I recalled that Tyrion had given back to me two scarves on that day he healed me in the school, and one of them was at home. “How did he get it? I lost it in that resort where I had a one-night stand." I contemplated. At that point, my heart was being freed. “I can't ask him, but it seems somehow that he brought it to me. Did he rent the room, find it there, and bring it to me because he saw me with another type of it?”

Emris pulled his fist out of the broken mirror with a bitter scoff. "You had us all completely fooled." "I'm not your enemy, Emris." Faye sighed. " I'll be the judge of that. And right now, I see no reason to believe a word you say." "Fine, then I'll give you a reason to." Faye shrugged. "George Halter, he's the warrior commander here right?" "How do you know that?" "I'm from the Blood Shield Pack, remember? The one with the Aster family. I know some things that'll greatly benefit the Lycan race -starting with the traitors amongst you."

I whispered in awe as I watched my childhood obsession right before me, in the flesh. Nytheria, the sword of Aramun, the first immortal prince of the royal line of werewolves, the first lycan, personally gifted by the moon goddess. The sword grand prince Aramun used to slay the demon prince a thousand years ago was in my new room staring at me.
