The Goddess Warrior

The Goddess Warrior

Padma’s words echoed in her mind: “Love is the fiercest weapon.” The first streaks of dawn painted the desert horizon, washing the dunes in soft gold and pink. Jaiyana felt the surge in her chest—the pendant flaring, absorbing the light of the rising sun. Every weapon hummed in harmony with her heartbeat, the Chakram, Vajra Spear, and Trident forming a triad of divine resonance.

As the staff expected, it was from the exceptional candidates. Zeke Arnold obtained a [Vajra] replica. A ritual artifact composed of a handle and five prongs on each end. At first glance it doesn't look much but Zeke was able to draw out its power to generate electricity as blades. It was basically a pseudo-laser sword from one of the famous movies.

The 200-Year Bride Swap

The 200-Year Bride Swap

I need my sword. Reaching behind my back, I feel the cool, smooth texture of my marking shift beneath my fingers. There’s a brief moment where the ink pulses, almost as if it’s alive, before it solidifies into the hilt of my sword. I draw it out, feeling the familiar weight settle into my hand. The blade hums with energy, a glowing blue that pulses in time with my heartbeat. This sword is mine, a part of me, born of my blood and soul. Athena’s gift, forged from my very essence.

CHANDA'S REBIRTH: AWAKENED UNDER THE BLOOD MOON.

CHANDA'S REBIRTH: AWAKENED UNDER THE BLOOD MOON.

“You will actually love it.” “Fine.” Chanda walked ahead of him. They walked in silence till they got into his room, when Velkan suddenly grabbed her and planted another kiss on her lips. Chanda frowned and turned to walk out, but Velkan grabbed her. “I had to get it out of my system.” He said, sheepishly. “Sorry.” “Did you bring me here for just that?” She asked. “Of course not.” He walked to his bed and lifted the cover. On the bed was the most beautiful sword Chanda had ever seen. The golden sword glistened even though there was barely any light. It had a shiny green snake wrapped around the handle, with a big hole in the middle.

Life After Prison

Life After Prison

Jangar resembled the aura of a peerless sword, and his aura had broken through the arena's shield to envelop Nontwo City. His body was bathed in the glow of sword light as he gazed coldly at Severin. He then nonchalantly tossed his long sword in Severin's direction. The speed of flight was not very swift, and one might even describe it as being remarkably slow. Yet, with each advancement, sections of the blade seemed to dissipate, giving rise to a sword light approximately ten feet long. As the blade vanished, the sword light grew even more.

This storyline has some interesting characters. Jada and Easton are so busy ranting and raving about Severin and Edward is making a complete donkey out of them. This is a good book. I know it’s ongoing but so far I am enjoying it. Do not miss an exciting book if you’re looking for something goo.

one of the best novels of this site. well written and great story. The only problem is Monday you get a lot of pages and chapters, and the rest of the week you get a page a day. Come on the author and this site can do better. Really about to stop reading because of this.

Vengeful Vows

Vengeful Vows

My gaze was sharp enough to send chills down anyone's spine. "And that alone is enough for me." The man stared at me in horror. For the first time, he realized the rumors were true. I was a devil in human skin... a heartless, merciless predator. And once I decided someone was a threat, they either disappeared... or learned to live in fear. I walked back to the couch and sat down. "Take him out of my sight." My voice carried irritation while my expression was indifferent. The bodyguards immediately grabbed the trembling man.

Just from the preview it’s seems like it’s the charismatic Charlie Wade. It’s only written with different characters and slightly different way. I stopped reading charismatic because it’s too long and was not seeing the light and it’s now put to 5k chapters. Who reads a book that long. Make it a mo

Frequently Asked Questions

A cruciform sword is a medieval European weapon defined by its cross-shaped hilt, consisting of a straight, double-edged blade, a horizontal crossguard, and a grip aligned with the blade's axis. When held point-down, the sword resembles a Christian cross—hence the name “cruciform.”

Key Features of the Cruciform Sword Blade: Typically straight, double-edged, and designed for both cutting and thrusting.

Crossguard: A horizontal bar of metal that protects the wielder’s hand and can trap or deflect enemy blades.

Grip and Pommel: The grip is usually wrapped in wood, leather, or wire, and the pommel at the end helps balance the sword.

These swords were typically between 28 to 36 inches in blade length and weighed around 2.5 to 3.5 pounds, making them versatile and agile in combat.

Historical Context Cruciform swords emerged around the 10th century and became the standard sidearm of European knights during the High and Late Middle Ages (roughly 1000–1500 CE). They were favored in both warfare and ceremonial settings, especially during the Crusades, where the symbolic cross shape held religious significance.

Symbolism and Religious Meaning Beyond their function in battle, cruciform swords symbolized Christian faith, chivalry, and knightly duty. The cross-shaped hilt became an emblem of divine protection and moral righteousness, often featured in medieval art, literature, and tomb effigies.

Modern Relevance Today, cruciform swords are found in:

Museum collections as historical artifacts.

Historical reenactments and medieval martial arts (HEMA).

Popular culture, including films like Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade with the fictional Brotherhood of the Cruciform Sword.

Replica crafting and LARPing, where enthusiasts recreate their historical look and feel.

Summary The cruciform sword is more than a weapon—it’s a cultural icon that bridges history, faith, and martial tradition. Its design influenced centuries of European sword-making and remains a powerful symbol in both scholarly study and modern media.
