I could see shock and fear on his face, but his jaw tightened as he answered. “She’s my girlfriend.” Jace let out a dark laugh that made my skin crawl. “Not anymore, she isn’t. You broke up with her.” His voice was smooth as silk but sharp as a knife.

Considering the situation, I giggled and chortled. “You have a girlfriend?” The woman standing behind him murmured in disbelief. I couldn’t lift my eyes to study her. All I could focus on was her expensive Louboutin ankle boots and her toned legs wrapped in white skinny jeans. “Yeah, sorry little bunny,” Jace glanced over his shoulder, staring at the woman with a sultry voice. “We fought this morning because she had her period and didn’t allow me entry.
