“You look like you're struggling to stay warm.”
“No, it's okay,” I said. “I can keep myself cool, thanks.”
I rubbed my hands all over my legs, stroking them.
“You're weird,” he said.
“I'm your sister,” I remarked. “Weird is the new normal.”
“Stepsister,” he corrected. "And a kiddo"
“Whatever you say,” I said, as I rubbed my legs even more.
“I'm going to get you a blanket,” Jace said. “I'm easily distracted, and I don't want you to feel cold.”
