He nodded, and then the Skull face twisted his fingers and the joker yelped but of course, no one could hear him over the loud blast of music. I finish chopping the melon as Anthony walks in taking a piece shoving it into his mouth, I shake my head picking the remaining slices up placing them in a lunchbox for the fridge. "Thank you again for doing all this doll, I just hope she appreciates it" he sighs leaning against the counter still chewing his melon, while I put the rest of the fresh fruit in the fridge "I'm probably just overreacting it's gonna go fine, now I have you and Amelia, there is nothing she can say which will bring me down" he smiles, pulling me closer to him with his hands on my waist, I try to pull away which doesn't work I was trapped in his arms.

3. The parade was fantastic this year, one of the best I'd seen. Costumed people of all stripes cavorted, marching around us while giant puppets danced and twirled through the air. Everywhere we looked, there was something to catch our attention, to engulf us in the Halloween spirit. Here a skeleton played guitar for a group of succubi, there a clown doll bounced on a pogo stick, while a man in leather pants and a chest harness juggled balls shaped like Jack-O-Lanterns. It was a scene out of Ray Bradbury, and I could tell from the permanent smile on her face that Maddie was eating it up.

My uncle was dressed as slick as ever, pulling this whole Jack Skellington vibe with his pin-striped suit tailored perfectly to his body and some fancy, polished shoes to finish it off. I wasn’t the least bit surprised when he had Perry doing dinner service for us, it actually made me chuckle to see him dressed like a waiter with the towel draped over his arm and everything. Of course, Luci had to share the whole story about Perry and his best friend trying to steal his wife, it was a good story, and Luci loved it whenever he won and got to imprison another soul in the underworld. He was certainly proud of his work and took no shame in flaunting it.
