Perhaps this couple were genuine parents who were grieving for their child. Just as I parted my lips to speak, a memory from long ago resurfaced in my mind. Perhaps they had mistaken me for their daughter because of what my mother had once called a myth when I was much younger. The myth stated that when two people with kindred souls suffered untimely and painful deaths, their souls would swap, and the one with a stronger will and a greater purpose would be granted a second chance at life. But it was just that...a myth... it was a myth. There was nothing in our lycanthropy history that suggested anything like this had ever happened.

Didn’t anyone tell you that?” Enzir gave a short laugh. “No, Jad Enzir. She’s real. I’ve seen her with my own two eyes!” replied Lankko.

He gave him the look. “Look, I don’t know about it but I can’t be a werewolf. I know that werewolves are supposed to turn into wolves on the full moon but that never happened. Did it? I never turned into a wolf on full moons.” Zadkiel argued back. “Maybe, turning into wolves is just a myth.” Abel pointed out. “The whole concept of werewolves’ existence is a myth, bro,” Zadkiel stated, denying every possible way he could.
