He wore a dark green jacket that highlighted his broad shoulders, rugged trousers, and sturdy boots. He held a sleek hunting rifle, and the sight of him made my heart race. He was dressed in a deep navy suit that hugged his broad shoulders perfectly—no tie, top two buttons undone, exposing just enough collarbone to be distracting. A black Patek Philippe wrapped around his wrist, gleaming like the weapon it was.

Jax moves aside, continues his own search. Just when I’m about to give up and leave the damn store, Jax pipes up again. “How about this one?” I turn to see him holding up a black leather moto jacket with a silver zipper. It’s fucking perfect. My lips spread into a grin. “That’s the one.” Jax takes a closer look at the jacket inside the collar. “Medium should be good, right?” I have no fucking idea. I just stare at him blankly. He chuckles, thrusting the jacket in my direction. “Should be fine.”

Holly asked, pointing to a blonde in a summer hat coming from a terminal, carrying two suitcases and a brown shoulder bag. "Ann!" Melanie cried, running over too fast to be normal. Lydia chuckled and ran after her, Melanie now hugging Ann tightly. "Good to see you too Mel, but I can't breathe." Ann patted her on the back, and Melanie quickly let go. "Sorry!" Sometimes Melanie forgot not everyone close to her had magic. "Why are you dressed for summer? It just started snowing." "I like this hat," Ann defended. "And weather's weird in Ireland, Lydia visited in pajamas the other day." Ann giggled.

She didn't want to know. Once she was in her room, she removed her dress and threw on an old t-shirt after removing her makeup. She crawled into bed and then decided against it. Her dress. She wanted to see her dress before she fell asleep. It was Negan's grandmother's. It was an absolutely stunning piece of cloth. Navy blue to represent his pack's colors. It fit her like a glove when she first tried it and everyone that saw her remarked how lucky she was and how her mating to Negan was destined to be. She agreed with them. She felt the same way when she stared at her reflection in the mirror. She looked lovely. The red of her hair was a sharp contrast to the dark, rich color of the dress.

He made to call her, but stopped on seeing that one of the maids was coming behind her, trying to catch up with her. She watched as she turned, spoke with the maid, and started to head back.

I go to the hallway closet where I stashed the bag from the studio. Navy tissue paper. I’ve been carrying it back and forth for two days, moving it from my desk to the car to the closet, trying to decide if this is too much. If it says something I’m not ready to say.
