53. Doing What Is Right Zach's POV I felt Jade's heart beat drop and head slide backward. I immediately put one hand behind her head and made her sit on the mattress by the support of the pillows. "I don't feel good, Zach. I don't..." She's unable to complete her words and leaned back in the pillow. "It's okay, Jade. Don't think about anything and relax." Making her drink some water despite her refusing it, I stroked her bare shoulders and pressed my lips on the crown of her head.

Ada started. Bambi nodded without looking at him, “You’re mouth-watering!” he added with a hearty laugh. Jada was embarrassed. She sprinted the last steps when she noticed the nearby diners looking at her. “Ssshhh!” she hissed as she sat down. Kobe was seated at the head of the table while Jada was at the foot. And although it was bitterly cold out today, with the feast being held outside no less, all of the torches and fire pits scattered around the gathering area kept me warm enough that I’d even removed my jacket some time ago. Jade shook her head and took a seat next to me, perching on the edge of the bench. “It’s like I told you before the wedding, on the day of your spar,” she said, leveling me with a stern glare, “you need to talk to her. We’ve spent all morning at the training complex and during a meal break, Jade taught Maddie to mind link. She asked us if we would join her on a run after her shift but Blake and I politely declined because we want her and Jade to share her first run together. But I will always support her and be there for her when the full moon is at its peak. Reminding him that there were other people in the living room, he glanced around. Chase and Adonis were still tangled up in the corner of the couch and Fox reminded him of a small boulder as he sat cuddled up in a blanket on the floor. His face was blank and stoic as he watched the movie onscreen. Jax went over to his boyfriend as Finn searched for the last person he was missing in his headcount, the one he was, for whatever reason, looking forward to see him the most.
