Jasmine reached the window, where she could see the hills and mountains, the snow graciously falling down from them. She wrapped her arms around herself, trying to gather her thoughts. “Need company?” Jasmine turned sharply when she heard Jordan’s familiar voice. He was leaning against one of the wooden pillars, hands tucked into his jacket pockets. She immediately tensed. “What do you want?” Jordan stepped closer, standing by the window. “I just wanted to make sure we’re on the same page.”

Jade was dressed in a black suit, and there were four bodyguards behind her. She stopped right in front of me. Wilbur then leaned in and whispered, "That's him, Ms. Pearson! He's the bastard who hit me! See what he did to my neck when he tried to strangle me?" I looked at Jade, and my eyes lit up. Dad had shown me photos of her before, and she looked absolutely gorgeous in them to the point that I thought she must have edited them. But to my surprise, she was just as pretty, if not more, in real life. She was exactly my type.

He’s even worse at being angry, and he seemed crazy. Jade looked at her sister sharply before lying down on the long sofa. She laid her head on the lap of her boyfriend, who had already sat there. The two had no choice but to fit themselves into the single seat. She just doesn’t know if they can bear to sleep just sitting and without an armchair.

They weren’t sure if this is something he'd expect them to do. Jade laid there for a moment before sitting up. She wasn’t planning on moving from her bed, but she was bored out of her mind. She needed something to do. Two days ago, she was practicing with daggers, and then Garrett gets taken and now she is slowly dying. She kind of halfway expected them to come and get her right now, but it was just silence.

You’ve been asleep for almost eight hours, and we all thought we lost you but I'm happy you’re here now” Jordan said as he placed her down from his body. “Jordy, you always carry me” Jasmine said wanting him to carry her again like she was a baby. “Not today Jasmine, I'm very tired from the deadly task you put me up to and now my body parts are killing me” Jordan said as they walked out of the room.

“Just… practising.” He stepped closer, slow enough to give me time to move away if I wanted. I didn’t. “Practicing’s good,” he murmured, eyes sweeping over me in a way that felt like a touch. “But your knees are caving in a little. Let me help?” “Okay,” I whispered. Jordan moved behind me, not touching yet, but close enough that the heat of him wrapped around my back. “Feet shoulder-width,” he said softly. “Good. Now sit back… not straight down, back. Like you’re aiming for a chair.”

My breath hitched when I saw his hot stare on me as he got closer. “My lady,” The beta presented Jade to me, excused himself, and then walked away. “Hi.” Jade placed his hands in his pockets. His hair looked almost wet and his face was flushed. “Looks like I interrupted you from your swim, did I?” He walked to the other side and sat on the other pool chair next to mine.

"I'm here to take you home." "We were just aboutto finish here," Jordan replied, giving me a challenging stare. "It's late,"I said evenly. "I'm sure you know that." Jade was packingher stuff and I mentally willed her to be quick about it. She quickly excused herself to use the restroom, and I nearly groaned aloud. I didn't want to be here any second longer than I had to because if looks could kill, then Jordan's glare would have put me in the ground by now.
