Novel & Cerita Jagged Ghost Blade

"They aren't frozen soldiers. They’re data-ghosts with physical weight." One of the ghosts stepped out of the light. It moved with a terrifying, unnatural speed, its hand extending into a jagged blade of hard-light. It didn't scream. It just hissed—the sound of a thousand deleted files. Kaelor didn't hesitate. He dived under the ghost’s strike, his knife finding the creature’s throat. There was no blood. Just a spray of blue sparks and the smell of burning plastic. The ghost didn't die; it just flickered, its wound knitting back together instantly.

Time returns to normal, and it’s violent. I tumble into my human form, drawing the twin blades crisscrossing over my back, fastened by a halter worn by every warrior in my regiment. My blades sing as they cut through the mist, but the dark shadows tearing onto the beach curl like fog, my blades piercing… nothing. Nothing but air. It’s a madhouse everywhere else. Every warrior–whether from my regiment or the Ghosts who’ve yet to set up their camp–hurdles into action against an unseen, but obviously aggressive, force. I watch in mingled horror and confusion as a Ghost warrior gets flung twenty feet from the shoreline, his howl of pain fading as his body spirals through the darkness blocking ou

Wisps of wind blade power swept towards the ghost like dense icicles. This was Zephyr Khan who had used the soul storm's most powerful attack, the Soul wind Blade! Although he had only cultivated to the first realm, it was more than enough to deal with this ghostly body. In an instant! The ghost was torn into countless pieces by the wind blades. After a while! It had just recovered, but it was much weaker than before, and its figure became more illusory and blurred. It could be seen at a glance that it had been seriously injured.

He was always so pleased by her speed and ruthlessness in dispatching his elder children, that he doted on her during class. She was unrivaled in hand-to-hand, quicker and more sure-footed than her siblings. She was deadly with small blades as well, and kept one tucked in her boot at all times, just in case any of Killian's cronies took the young Lord at his word and tried to have her quietly dispatched. Not that she ever represented a true threat to either Killian or Reena, she was just as much her mother's daughter as her father's, and it was likely she would be a prey shifter rather than a predator.

The ghosts of the past whispered beneath my feet, but I had no room for doubt. Myra stood across from me, clad in black leather laced with bone. Her pale hair was matted with dried blood—some hers, most not. Her eyes burned with the madness of too many lost wars and too much stolen power. "You really think you can end this with a duel?" she sneered. "After everything we've burned?" I unhooked the Luna blade from my back and let it sing as it left its sheath. The metal gleamed silver-blue under the moonlight, thirsty.

The other three Ghosts find him immediately. They run towards the Firstblade in a wild pack, inhumane noises hissing from their jaws. And I tighten my grip on my own knife, before throwing it to the rightmost one to lead it away from Ezra. It works. And Ezra doesn't even look surprised when I show myself, his stare fixed forward as he cuts down the two Ghosts with ease. I sidestep the one that lunges at me, slicing into its neck with a painless, finishing blow.

The version of Sarah in the flight suit had manifested a shimmering, obsidian blade, and she was lunging at Kazimir with a robotic, Non-Linear-Motion. "Stay back from the monolith!" Kazimir roared, parrying the ghost’s strike. Each time his Glitch-Blade met the ghost’s weapon, a shower of purple sparks erupted, and a scream echoed through the minds of everyone present. "I can't hold the tether much longer!" Jun screamed. He was kneeling at Elara’s feet, his hands glowing with a blinding white light as he strained to maintain the Neural-Loom. "The ghosts are trying to eat the connection! They want to follow her in!"

Her eyes went wide with shock: tiny skeletal remains slipped out. She froze, watching in horror as the bones instantly shattered, turning to a fine dust that vanished before her eyes. Ghouls rushed forward, sickles raised to cleave her. Suddenly, Horan surged between them. He cursed with every ounce of his being, delivering a bone-jarring kick to the face of each attacker. "I don't give a damn about bad deeds in times like these!" he spat. "Jennet, get up!" Horan nudged her leg, his voice sharp with urgency.

Wisps ghosted forward, specters of violence, heralds of an arriving carnage that was certain. Sethlzaar moved, slipping between ghosts replaced by humans in a heartbeat, striking them down, ending lives in one or more blows. He found himself going through sword stances Father Ordan and Narvi had ingrained in him many years ago. His footing was undisturbed, his movements fluid. And as had happened in the floors above, men fell where he passed. And death followed in his wake.

She joked as she took off the mug from Angela’s hand ‘Wait what?’ Angela was not ready for a serious relationship; he was her first love and they had just met. “Come on its just s**, haven’t you done yet? Dude we are 20 who are you waiting for?” Maria was the cheekiest one. Suddenly tears rolled down, she Seemed hurt, she broke down in rage. Her sister went home covered in blood, she was crying in pain and shame.
