The engagement party was in a few hours. Jack couldn't bring himself to even pretend that he cared about it. Jess had been handling everything by herself since he literally barked at her to leave him alone. He wired her the funds and asked her to do whatever she wanted with the party. His mother was going to show up and be happy, that was all that mattered to him. It didn't matter if Jack himself was miserable, he was doing what needed to be done. It was the designated smoking section of the church, and there were a handful of guys taking advantage of it. "Jake Isaac. How are you, son?" One of the older guys turned and extended his hand. "You still up in New England, son?" "A Yankee now, hm, boy?" Another one moved in for his handshake. "Not sure you can take the country out of the boy, Mr. Jackson." Jake shook hands as the guys gave him hell. He shot the shit with them for a few minutes until Kari moved toward him. "Who's this pretty thing?" Mr. Jackson moved up and extended his hand. "Please don't tell me you're dating this rascal."

Jake introduced. “Just Julia,” I corrected Jake. “Good evening, Mr. Alejandro.” I smiled, reaching a hand to him. He shook my hand. “Pleasure’s mine, Julia. I hope we get along.” I smiled. “Thank you, Mr. Alejandro.” “Just call me Luke,” he said kindly. “Luke. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” “It’s mine as well,” he said. “Can I steal Julia for a dance later, Jake?” “Sure, you’re the boss. I’m going to meet some friends out there. I’ll leave you two to dance.” Jake said, patting his friend’s shoulder, but before leaving, he leaned into my ear and whispered. “F.Y.I. He’s into blondes...”

Perfection, that is all I could say about my life with Jake now. Everything was too perfect as if...it wasn't even real like it was all just a dream that could be snatched away if I dared to blink an eye. Jake was everything I have ever dreamed of, he was too handsome with a body built for a Greek God but he worked for it day and night. I was still in deep thoughts when I heard a male voice. "Hello , I am Jake" he said stretching forth his hand for a handshake. I realised he is the stranger I was admiring earlier. I noticed he was even more handsome than what I saw earlier, he was about 6 feet tall, well built and his six packs stuck out from his shirt. I also discovered he had the most beautiful blue eyes I have ever seen, short spiky hair which made him look more handsome and his voice sounded like that of an Angel. Well, I haven't seen any Angel in reality but I have seen them in movies.
