128| You Won! JULIE "May I come in, sir?" I hear Malcolm's voice and I cross my fingers on my lap when I hear that voice. Why did they call Malcolm? He likes Ms Hudgens. She is his crush. I do not think he is going to take my side by telling the truth. What if he just lied to me? In that silence, only Mr Winter's voice resonates as he allows, "Yes, Malcolm." He nods at the guy.

Axel stepped forward with the keys and performed the task, sliding the silver bar door open. Mikayla did not move and her pale blue eyes rested only on me. “So you are the little fairy who managed to tie down this stubborn Alpha?” Valen informally asked to help her relax. Damien raised one of his eyebrows as he asked, placing his left hand behind my neck. "Because Jake Hayes knows something about you," he continues, "Your weakness." Damien suddenly stopped talking as he looked down on the floor. "I've got no weakness," he says, with a stern look. "Except for my wifey's kisses, that is." "Hah.." I sighed in annoyance, as I rolled my eyes. My annoyed reaction was the same as Luca. Damien looked so serious, to the point I thought he'd say something touching, and dramatic. "Sir, you've gone insane.." Luca says, pinching the bridge of his nose. "But I wasn't lying," he says, "Her kisses are my only weakness."

Evelyn's POV "I, Alpha Kyle Turner, reject you, Evelyn Sanders, as my mate." Alpha Kyle hoarse voice boomed in my ears making me freeze on my tracks, his voice laced with disgust. Crack! A cracking sound resounded inside my body and I felt as if a part of me was forcefully torn and taken away. My wolf howled in pain but there was nothing I could do about it. Tears flowed down my face as the pain became immeasurable, increasing with each second to the point I was unable to tolerate it. I could care less about the gazes on me. I was already used to it.

I hushed, refusing to look away from the marble floor. Quietly, I adjusted Mikael’s arm over my shoulders again. Eventually, the silence was broken by the groan of his chamber doors. A wave of herbs rushed into our nostrils, and Mikael grunted, clearly disgusted. “You know,” he said as he settled onto the bed, “I do hate Malakai.” I moved toward his walk-in wardrobe, grabbing incense sticks. “Who doesn’t?” I replied while lighting them. Smoke curled upward, veiling Mikael’s faint grin.

“I’m confident you will recover from the Alpha’s thrall by this evening,” Oh shit. She knew exactly what had happened between me and Jacob. Well, Mellisandrei is an expert on this one so it’s not shocking. I remember Jacob telling me that he asked Mdllisandrei’s opinion and expertise, so I assume he told her the reason why I’m temporarily paralyzed. “Don’t be shy. It’s normal for a virgin like you to feel that.” Mellisandrei murmured. She noticed the heat rushing to my cheeks and kept her voice so low it barely carried across the space.

He grabs my hand and forces me to follow him down another white-washed hallway, and through a pair of doors. “Where are you taking me?” “As I said, Margo, my chef makes a killer steak. I suggest you start behaving. I would hate for us to get off on the wrong foot-paw, miss Mikaelson .” “I don't have paws,” I said loudly. “I don't know what you’re talking about,” I whispered. “Such a beauty but so very stupid to play stupid,” he clicked his tongue a few times like he was letting me know he was disappointed...with me.

Michelson cleared his throat quietly. “When my wife got pregnant the third time, we moved to a secluded place outside the Lycan kingdom so she could be around nature. Perhaps we thought that would help us have a healthy child. My wife eventually gave birth but to a still born pup. We had already lost two pups and not the third. We were devastated.” Mr. Michelson stopped for a moment, composing himself then he continued. “That night, while we were mourning our death son. We heard a knock at the door and a desperate cry. I opened the door and saw a young woman whom looked exactly like Taylor. She was carrying a new born baby. The woman and Taylor looked exactly the same.”

The thought of being replaced, of being relegated to a secondary role in Isabella's life, filled him with a profound sense of dread.
