************************************************ Chris POV The news is on at the bar I'm currently sitting at drawing fellow patrons in as the news of what the police has discovered flashes on the screen along with a picture of her, her beautiful smile as bright as ever calls me in like a sirens song followed by the news that they found her in a shallow grave just outside of Benson Lake a few miles from Multnomah Falls by a couple with a dog that had smelt her decomposing body as they let him out to use the bathroom.

James loved his daughter and despite her current setback, he was still very proud of her. In contrast to Audrey's petite size, James was large and burly. A few inches over six feet and just under 210 pounds, James was a large, muscular man. Audrey called him her "Daddy-bear" growing up as he had a lot of hair on his chest and, at that time, wore a beard. James had dark blue eyes and thick brown hair that he kept cut short. He was a handsome man.

“I should have handled you when I could…” “What do you mean?” I blurt, eyes on him. I've always known Bones since I was a teenager, and he never smiles. I've never seen him with anyone, either, no woman. No man. He's only being loyal to my father. “I knew your hatred for Michael ran deep, and I was so ready to put you in your place. Kids like you deserve to be hard handled to learn lessons, but…” he looks at Michael. Then. “He never let me. He always believed the boy he once knew would grow to see the reasons he did what he did. Even if I had to, I'd drag someone down with me. A rusty axe lay in the corner of the cabin, left behind after chopping firewood. Without hesitation, I grabbed it and swung at the lock. A loud clang echoed across the entire pack's territory, sending birds scattering from the rooftops. After a dozen swings, my arms burned with pain. The lock finally snapped. I shoved the door open and bolted. Under the moonlight, my skin gleamed an eerie violet. Clearly, the wolfsbane had seeped into my bones.

He was undoubtedly cruel, killing them once he grew bored. Then he would buy another slave…and the cycle continued. “Have mercy, Crewe…” “He’ll pay me the four million dollars you didn’t. And then we’ll be even.” “Come on, I’ll do anything you want. Please don’t do that to her. She’s a good person…” His voice broke like he was on the verge of tears.

Declan finalizes and I glare at the brothers. "Goddess! You're such a pretty princess, even when you're mad at Cliff and Bones," Oona says. I arced a brow and looked down to her. "Who's Bones?" I ask. She points at Declan. "He's one of the strongest men in this pack. His fellow warriors call him Bones. I don't know why, but I think it may be because he's so strong. Now that you're going to be his wife. You have nothing to worry about because he's going to protect you forever." Little Oona says before dabbing her mouth with a towel.
