After all these years, something about hearing her speak stirred emotions I thought I’d buried. "That was unexpected," James said from across the room. His arms were crossed as he leaned against the wall, his sharp eyes fixed on me. I turned my gaze toward him, raising an eyebrow. "Not every day an old acquaintance offers to assist, is it?" He didn’t respond immediately. Instead, he pushed off the wall and walked closer to my desk. His movements were measured, his expression stern. He was halfway to the cemetery when he spotted Todd on the parallel street, looked pissed and started heading his way. “I don’t have time for you, man,” James said, not breaking stride. “Scram.” Todd was younger but tough as nails. “Where you are going with that bag?” he asked, eyeing it suspiciously. “Mind your own business,” James shot back, turning away. Todd followed anyway, stubborn as ever. She was sitting cross-legged on the floor, pencil in hand, her homework spread out in front of her. “Hey, kid,” James said as he stepped inside.

James' hands brushed each other's remaining dust that stuck to his hands. "Who died first… him or you, Mom?" James sneered sarcastically. He sadly smiled as he pursed his lips. James was silent, still looking at the tomb. That's where he came from, from a woman named Maya Delavina. James took out his phone as someone sent something to him. More like a picture. "Frans Albert Harristian, is that my father's name?" James asked, showing the phone screen as if the tombstone could see it.

He was having a hard time getting rid of them, but they were at least a few car lengths behind them. “Who are you?” Hazel came to her senses and questioned the man. “I am James Howard.” Just when she thought he wouldn’t answer, the man told her his name truthfully. She was stunned for a moment before she asked. “Do we know each other?” She looked closely at James, whose face was very angular and solemn but was somehow reassuring, and that kind of reassurance was typical of a soldier or a policeman. Hazel had often been in contact with the police, but his fierce temperament and killing intent were not what the police would train for.

David said. James appeared taken aback and perplexed, his expression suddenly changed to a mixture of surprise and confusion. He seemed to be struggling to make sense of David's proposition. "Who do you think it is? This person? The snitch?" James asked, his tone serious, as he tried to clarify David's point. There was a deliberate pause in James' statement that seemed to suggest he was skeptical about David's claim. However, David pretended not to notice the hesitation and maintained his composure.

James's stare on him, he looked away. Those two were known for their daily squabble, never agreeing on a thing. Mr. James is a lawyer; egocentric, high sense of fashion(anything cooperate--tuxedos were his favourite),pessimistic in the manner of thinking while Mr. Jones would considered quite a perfect opposite.
