The room seemed to shrink the moment Jane stepped in. Mrs. Moretti’s face was drained of all colors. Her hands fumbled against the wall for support as if the ground beneath her feet was collapsing. “N-no… this is not possible,” she stuttered, her breath coming out in sharp, uneven gasps. Jane’s eyes were like burning coals—raw, unflinching, merciless. “You thought you buried me, didn’t you?” she hissed. “You sent your dogs after me and my mother because of your jealousy. Because you couldn’t stand the thought of my existence.”

She was finally at the place of no return. "What's your name?" "Jane." "I am Lord Irene. I am in charge of the workers in the Vampire Palace. This is where the whole procedure takes place and lectures. No one is allowed out without any specific functions. Go into that room and change into this. I give you five more minutes." She instructed coldly and Jane did as she was told. When she got into that room, she was already crying. She missed her brother so much and the wonderful world she was in. How long was she gone? Would anybody even notice her disappearance? She was doomed now because if she had known, she ought to have listened but she didn't.

Dusting it off made me cough repeatedly and I stared at the book turning the page open but every page as well was covered in dust although preserved. I dusted a few pages off and the crisp but clean handwriting stared back at me. I read the first page and Immediately closed it. When I arrived at pages 61, 62 and 63 it was blank, nothing was written on it, then pages 64, 65 and 66 were torn from the diary as in discarded for what reason I don't know. My brows furrowed. Why? Why did my cousin cut the three pages and where are the pages now? What's written on it? This piqued my interest. Then on page 67 there are only a few words written on it that say... "I finally saw the man of my dreams!" I quickly jumped to the conclusion that maybe this guy... was the one my cousin had met in the city and she told the maid about him. But where is this particular maid? I want to talk to her!

The tale sent shivers down her spine; it was so wonderfully written, and the emotions that came from it were too real. As she read, a gust of wind suddenly blew across the room, and the pages flipped. She was surprised, knowing that she had already closed everything. However, before she could even bother to worry about where that wind came from, she was already drawn to a section where the pages had landed. It was about a ceremony for the werewolf prince to choose his mate. The possible mates were all invited to their palace to participate in this very important event. After the ceremony, the prince would then take over the title of King.

There was pure darkness wherever she was that seemed to seep into her eyes. There was something sick . . . putrid . . . vile maybe, floating through the air. She didn't need to see it. She could feel it, and it made her soul cringe. She started to stand, but was smashed to the floor by some . . . thing. Her chest ached and she was sure her nose was beginning to bleed.

The book had an entire thirty-page chapter on soul resurrection but not soul fetching. Slightly annoyed, Levy started to look through the books again and this time much more carefully as she stared at each page until she was sure that she wasn’t missing anything finally she found what exactly was wrong at the end of the third book. “ Someone tore pages from this book,” murmured Levy as she ran her fingers through the rough yet very clean edge of the torn page. Whoever tore the pages of the book, did it very carefully… in fact, they did it so cleanly that Levy would’ve never found what was wrong with the book unless she carefully skimmed through each page.

Nothing could go wrong in reading a book, right? Her resolution didn't last for long because the contents of the first page made her close the book in shock and a blush painted her cheeks. She didn't expect to be greeted with such unrestrained way of describing the events. It was a rare sight to see Bellona being flustered as she was always so poised. All these was new to her. She took deep breaths and composed herself and opened the book, this time she tried to read each page, careful not to miss even the slightest detail. Because according to Jane, the book was important to her and it'd help her succeed.
