My heart started racing. What's happening? *

All through the night, John couldn't stop the buzzing in his veins which held him from sleep- the beat of his heart as thrumming and chaotic as a bee hive. The jittering sensation seemed to stem down into his bones; and after tossing and turning most of the night, he decided that they would leave as soon as his letters returned.

I was trying to relax my wildly beating heart but in a second I flinched again listening to my alarm in my pin drop silent room made me to groan. "Why is the universe trying to give me a heart attack first thing in the morning" I whispered while shutting my alarm off. I threw it back on my nightstand and went to the bathroom to shower and change so I could leave and deal with life hustles.

Pitter-pat. I lowered myself until I was laying flat on the bed. The silence in my room was chased from the room as angry voiced bounced off the walls, down the hall, and slip beneath my door. My room is filled with the sound of my heart pounding in my ears and my heavy breathing. Just when I think things are finally calming down after a few minutes of silence. It’s interrupted by his angry shouting followed by my mom’s sobbing. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve woken up to their fighting in the middle of the night.

“Good night.” I was taken aback after he said that before I could get up on my bed. There’s no harm, so I decided to say it back. “Y-Yeah, good night.” Why do I have to stutter every single time? I lay on the bed with embarrassment filling me up. Can I please stop stuttering whenever I talk? And what’s up with my heart? It keeps beating faster and gradually getting louder as if I ran thousands of miles. Don’t tell me… I do have heart disease now? Am I going to die? But that seems better since I might meet Lia— No! What the hell am I thinking? How long do I even have to think about this?

Then I woke up,Gasping Sweating. Panting like I had run miles. The room was dark. Quiet. Still. But my heart… My heart was racing wildly, recklessly, dangerously. I pressed my hand against my chest, trying to calm the storm inside me. What was happening to me? To be continued *****

I breathed a sign of relief as I heard, no felt a thud on the floor next to me. I was temporarily deaf. The pounding of my heart fueled the high amounts of adrenaline running through my veins, creating a dull roar in my head, an endless pulsing wave rolling back and forth, blocking out all other sounds around me. My heart beat was strong, albeit a little too loud and unnecessarily quick at the moment.

I wake up with my heart pounding. Sweat drips down my back so my vest is stuck to it. There is a feeling of impending darkness, of something so heavy in my chest that it seems to get larger by the minute. I swing my legs over the side of the bed and stay there, panting. My heart stutters, and I rub my chest.

My heart kept racing, and it seemed as though it was pumping blood faster than usual. While all this was happening, I tried to keep my emotions in check. I tried not to show too much emotions and tried to act normal. I held my pisser tightly onto my chest with my fingers trembling. I didn't know why I was being restless. Were u getting unnecessarily tensed? I doubt.
