But near the north door, there is a stairway going up but it's blocked by rubble. Marika runs and opens the northern door and gasps. The light of my lantern streams into the doorway and revealed a huge, muscled monster stooping over. He holds a massive spiked club in one hand and a melon-sized rock on the other hand. It's an Ogre. The Ogre smiles a jagged tooth grin, “I've been expecting you. I am your humble king, Gobler.”

“It is not clean. There is something bitter.” Another warrior dipped a cup into the stream. The water looked clear but had a faint smell, sharp and strange. “This is not natural.” They moved further up the stream until they reached the place where water was stored in large clay jars for the feast. One of the jars was cracked open. Inside, the smell was strong. The leader of the warriors, a tall man named Jareth, bent low. He picked something from the bottom of the jar. It was a small black leaf, strange and twisted.

As soon as she finished speaking, she drew Gareth's sword and drove it straight through his heart. Coughing up a mouthful of blood, Gareth said, "As expected of my child, you show no hesitation at all. I can rest easy knowing that you'll be here to protect your mother." The wandering souls of the Foxkin scattered across the Everfrost Plains drifted over as well, offering up the last of their strength to bring me back to the world of the living. The chill etched itself onto her skin, creating a blanket of lace. Violet wrapped the cold around herself and pushed it into the great hall.

He was getting used to his human form. He flapped his wings. At least they still moved. "Prepare to die, gargoyle," the grotesque figure snarled. Her fetid breath washed over him, making him want to gag, but he wouldn't show weakness. He had a warrior's heart and if it stopped beating today at least it would stop in battle. He swiped at her, but she leaned out of the way. He hadn't ever encountered a goblin that had magical powers like this. Had they developed since he'd been in stone?

Germaine could not take her eyes off the creature that stood in front of them. Zar turned to their party and began introductions. "This is Kalo." A female goblin appeared beside him. "And this is Moka. They are mated as well as the keepers of the goblin race." Germaine looked from the dwarf-like creatures and back to Zar. She did not know what to make of the situation. If Zar was a goblin, then how come he was the direct opposite of how these two looked? Questions swam in her mind, and eyes as well, because as Keratin loosened his hold around her waist to move forward and shake the goblins, Zar used that opportunity to stand beside her and whisper into her ear. "I'll explain later."

Darius nodded his head and smiled. After the party, the inner cabal which consisted of I and Darius alongside Yagami and Gord got together and carefully planned the Campaign. I was to lead a battalion of five hundred warriors. Gerth was angry. It was not an uncommon state of mind for a Goblin, as they were usually angry about something. What angered Gerth at this particular time was his own gnawing impatience. And a growing animosity toward their leader. The Goblin tribes had welcomed the enigmatic stranger, primarily because she had promised them power and conquest. Initial doubts had been vanquished when the magic user had demonstrated considerable talent in the Art, and promised that such powerful magic would be used to aid the Goblins in their invasion.
