"Her ex-girlfriend has a character that is not much different from Jasmine," Jaden said. Not much different from me? What kind of character do I have? "Spoiled, noisy, and annoying girl?" Bastian guessed. Wait a minute! What did he say? "Exactly!" Jaden replied casually. Oh, shit! "So ... And her smile—sweet, cruel, knowing—told him she’d already decided how this would go. “You’ll kneel first,” she said. “Then we’ll see.” Kade didn’t move at first. His pride coiled tight in his throat. The Alpha in him wanted to bare teeth. To challenge. But Jasmine just stepped forward, one foot then the next, slow as oil on fire. Chapter 03: Dislike Jasmine Reign's POV I took a careful sip of my drink, listening to Chris ramble on like he always did. That finally pacified the little witch. “Mom, how do I look in this?” Jasmine twirled around happily. Ever since she saw Owen in a purple shirt the other day, she picked out a purple evening gown for tonight, as though they were wearing matching outfits. “Tonight, I’m going to steal the show. I can’t let the Anderson down!” “The star of the evening is Ada. She’s a world–famous star. How much of a show–stealer can you be?”

Jasmine’s POV “You know exactly where I was planning to go, Adonis. Far away from here,” I yelled. Tears stung my eyes as my escape plan fell apart right in front of me. Adonis suddenly burst out laughing. The sound shocked me. It was loud and bitter, echoing through the room. “Jasmine, look around you. Everything has changed. You’re not the spoiled rich daughter of Jose Almonte anymore. You’re my wife now. This is your home. Not with anyone else, especially not Sebastian.”
