"Hey, I'm back," Xerxes said. He locked the door behind him and began walking towards the maid. "Miss me?"

“These guys? Wait a minute Dad… Are you trying to tell me that you would believe these Alphas over me?” Xander asked in shock, gazing at his father in shock. “These guys, like you call them have been completely honest with me from the very beginning. And even if they haven’t been completely honest with me, I’m still taking their sides against you because they did not betray me by getting in bed with our enemies. They are not the ones that chose a rogue as a queen, are they?” the king responded in an icy tone that made Xander so furious that he nearly cursed at his father. It was Alexis that stopped him from saying those obscene words that could brand him a traitor.

Author's POV The female beta approached Xander and immediately introduced herself. "I, Ralia, you must be Xander, the dangerous rogue prince, right?" Xander took a few steps back in anticipation. "Don't be afraid..." "I'm not afraid of you, I'm just wary," Xander replied quickly. "Who are you looking for in the forest of the alphas? Do you want to steal the Alpha's treasure?" Xander chuckled, "The alpha's treasure? Do I look so poor that I would steal from those poor alphas?"

Moments later, riders emerged from the mist broad-shouldered wolves clad in rough leathers, their eyes sharp. At their head rode a woman with braids of silver hair, her gaze hard. “Who comes to the high road?” she called. Aria spurred her horse forward, Kael at her side. “Aria of Eldara,” she answered. “And Kael, Alpha King of the North.”

Lorenzo answered immediately, his golden wolf lifting his head to the moon. Idris darker, commanding call joined next. Then Adrian. Then Jayden. Finally Charles. Seven Alphas lifting their voices together beneath the rising moon. The sound rolled outward through the trees, ancient and resonant, the kind of call wolves had answered long before councils or territories ever existed. For a moment the packs simply listened. Then one wolf near the front shifted. Another followed. Soon the clearing filled with the ripple of transformation — wolves stepping forward from human form, survivors among them, their grief finding voice in instinct older than memory.

He wants to take over Adrian's position and become the next Alpha." Zero cursed under her breath. "We can't let him do this. Adrian trusts him, but we know better." I nodded and said. "We have to stop him." "Tell Adrian about Xerxes' betrayal without hesitation."

Suddenly his eyes glowed as Xerxes took over, his red bloody pupils dilated, looking down on Naster’s hideous body. “I, Xerxes, Guardian of the Moon Goddess, Alpha King, and strongest general of the Moon shall bestow my punishment to you, mortal, Naster Fillus Fangs.” Xerxes’ deep voice resounded, if Nicholas’ power surge as an Alpha King made the fearful and loyal wolves kneel, Xerxes' voice did not give anyone a chance to ignore him and even those who were at the other side of the world kneeled unconsciously there wolves taking over as they pay respect to his direction.
