My footsteps echoed off concrete floors as they led me deeper into the building, past empty shipping containers and piles of abandoned machinery. Then I heard it. A small whimper. Monte's cry. "Monte!" I lunged forward but the men grabbed my arms, holding me back. "Veronica." Jason's voice came from the shadows ahead. "Right on time." He stepped into a pool of weak light filtering through a broken skylight. He looked terrible. His hair was greasy and unwashed. His clothes were rumpled. His eyes were bloodshot and wild, like an animal backed into a corner. But what made my breath catch was the small bundle in his arms.

Sofiane laughed, making effort to wipe some blood off his perfectly trimmed beard but that only smudged the dark crimson liquid that seemed to be clotting already. The intense smell of rusting cooper hit my nostrils forcing out a gag. I could not put together what was so funny here. This was the odd thing about Jason's kind. Violence and the gore of it seemed to excite them and they were too steadfast in their high horses to realize how twisted it was. Frightening as it was to be face to face with the man...wolf that had killed every single thing in the mansion, I was not too afraid of him. Jason gasped and just then, he set his eyes on the body of the young lady who was flayed alive. Jason began to panic and tried to move backward but his feet became very heavy. "No! No!" He panicked, drawing Katherine and Dr. Campbell's attention to himself. "Jason, what is wrong with you?" Katherine asked curiously. "He is back!" He panicked, confusing Katherine even more. "Who is back?" She asked curiously. 'Flayerman! The Flayerman is back!' He thought to himself.

Footsteps echoed—slow, deliberate, confident. Adrian clenched his fists. “Show yourself.” A shadow detached from the far end of the hallway, tall and lean, moving with elegance that seemed almost inhumanly serene. When he walked into the faint light, Jason’s face came into view—smooth, expressionless, calm in a way that made him infinitely more terrifying than any snarling monster. Jason stopped several meters away, hands in his pockets as if he were simply strolling through a hotel on a lazy morning. “Adrian Miller,” he said in a quiet tone that sent a cold ripple down the hall. “I came for the girl.”

It looked a lot like him but instead of fear, there was a sadistic glee on it. “Daddy was waiting for you, little Jason,” Yuan said with a manic glee. “Aren’t you going to play with your old man?” “No…” Little Jason begged. “Please dad...no…” The sudden flash of light broke Jason out of his nightmare. He stood there, blinking as the lights kept on flaring at them. The girl was still scared stiff, hiding her face in his chest. “Not the lights…” she kept on chanting. “Not the lights…”

“Cute kid.” Jason glanced over at the person speaking to now becoming defensive as it was only him and the man standing there. The aquarium wasn’t packed due to it being a Thursday morning. Jason held his son close to him, protectively, as he stared at the dead eyes of Chris Sanders. He would know him anywhere just like Julissa said. His eyes held nothing inside and he looked rugged with a tattoo up his neck flowing down his arm. He was a rougher-looking Dan. “How did you find me?” Jason asked, angrily.

As we got comfortable, Jason grabbed the remote and began scrolling through the movie options. "What would you like to watch, Avery?" Jason asked. "I'm okay with anything except horror films that have zombies," I said, shivering at the thought. "What do you mean?" Jason asked, surprised but with a smile on his face. "I can watch any horror films except something about zombie films,for some reason they just scare me," I explained. With a smile, Jason said, "You never fail to amuse me, princess."
