JENNA “They seem to be having too much fun with this.” Feyre commented, seeing how Alpha Zade and Jason were playing the man like a fiddle. I fought and I don’t regret that”, he declared defiantly, making us more puzzled than we were already. “And why did you fight?” We all asked him. “He was hanging out with Kayla. Afterwards, something happened. I mean, I can’t really explain it but I got stuck on the ground…I couldn’t move my body”, Jason stuttered, obviously still in shock by whatever it was that happened to him.

So, I sent him a message, urging him to get here quickly. Seeing that no one was backing her up, Emily pulled Jason to the front. “Jason has been sick since he was three, relying on dialysis for the last two years. He can’t run, play, or go to the park, and has never been to school. All he does every day is lie there, like a puppet with no life in him. And your daughter? She takes dance classes and travels for workshops, all funded by my husband! “Anna, do you really want me, his rightful wife, to beg you on my knees before you agree to save Jason?”

I added, and Jason sighed, his face falling with sadness. "You should worry about your future first and foremost," Jason replied, his voice filled with concern. "Please listen to me first," I said, my voice shaking with emotion. "Okay, I'm listening," Jason said, taking a seat beside me and holding my hand gently. "What do you need to tell me?" "These babies here are all orphans or abandoned, and they need a loving home," I explained, tears welling up in my eyes. "I want to adopt them, Jason." Jason's eyes widened in surprise, but then a small smile tugged at the corners of his lips.

“We don’t have the luxury of hiding. Dean turned this into war. So we fight.” The broadcast began. Jason leaned toward the microphone, his voice low at first, then rising like a storm. “This is Jason Reed,” he said, the words heavy with raw truth. “Some of you may think you know my story. You’ve seen the leaks. The headlines. The whispers that I’ve fallen, that my Foundation is nothing but smoke.” Bella’s chest tightened as she watched him. This wasn’t the careful, calculated Jason she knew. “But here’s the truth,” Jason continued, his tone breaking. “I was naïve. I believed I could out think every danger. I believed people close to me were loyal. I was wrong.”

“I’m famished!” Jason spread the food out on the little table in front of the window and we sat on opposite sides and dug in. We both ate like starving souls. The food was amazing. We trashed the soup. The filet melted in my mouth. The dessert literally made me moan. For hours, we chatted like old friends as we stuffed our bellies with food and washed it down with wine. Jason talked about his life, how he started the company in his parents’ garage when he was just a teenager, how he met Zenith and convinced him to work for him and how both of them built the company from the ground up. Call me weird, but I do like meaningful names. "What happened? Can you tell me who you were running from?" I squatted in front of him. He was still sitting on the bed. "Bad guys ran after us," Jason said. He paused and stared at me briefly. "They wanted something mummy couldn't give to them. So, they plan on killing both of us." I nodded, listening intently. I didn't think Jason was finished with what he was saying, even though he stopped after a few sentences. I didn't blame him for that. He was a kid, after all, and for a child his age, he sure did speak well.

Jason says quietly, looking full of hope at redeeming himself. “Really?” I ask skeptically, “take us there.” Jason nods his head instantly and tells us to follow him. Glenda, Ryan, Rayali and Alex were in my office with me at the time so they followed along.
