I was just asking Ruby if she knew anything about your accident because I just wanted to get to the bottom of it and then she punched me in my face" she said as she continued to shed fake tears

" Wait until she finds out about the boys," Jacob said casually. I snapped my head toward Jasper. “The boys?” He grinned proudly. " Twin boys." "Oh no," I muttered. For one dangerous second it almost felt like we were teenagers again.

Not identical, though.” He says but there’s that calm danger in how he said it, like being an alpha’s twin means power he doesn’t flaunt.

I rubbed the back of my neck and adjusted in my seat uncomfortably. Guilt was written all over my face. Firstly, Jasper used to date his sister and now he's moved on with me as his mate, fake mate actually. Secondly, Josh's congratulations didn't sound like he was genuinely happy for us. The bus dropped Leo first at his colony, the Ember Twilight pack. I and Josh were left on the seat. It wasn't a long drive to our own colony. I was surprised to find Jasper on our driveway while I stepped out of the bus. He was leaning on his car. Josh stepped out right after me before other kids in the neighbourhood scurried out of the bus in different directions making clamorous noises.
